Description
Cape Town, South Africa
(based on a modified heightmap, scale is 1:1)

Version 1.1
- the water source near the starting area got rebalanced, it caused some flooding after a while.
If it's working as intended it should divide it's water between the starting area and the valley on top of the mountain. If you still experience floods in the starting area, please leave a message.

Version 1.0

Chehaut, you're from the Netherlands?! It is absolutely fitting that our colonisers would now also create a map for one of the most beloved city building games... THANK YOU!

That's good. I know what you mean about about the scaled down stuff. I thought maybe you can make a different map for each of the areas, that way you can make it real life size.

That would require a new map with a different scale to fit it all in. Problem is that everything gets scaled down that way, so you get a small Table Mountain and it will be very hard to make accurate rivers.

I will however look into what I can do to make the excisting map more accurate.

Nice, I wouold like to build on the Brackenfell and Fish Hoek areas too. Also, try to improve the map as much as you can. I want it as close to the real cape town as possible. It's good already, but I see a bit of room for improvement. I personally am too lazy to try to improve it, plus I never played with the terrain editor before. I tried to import cape town using terrain party, but I downloaded such a big area, that it got scaled down in the game and looked weird. I want a 1:1 scale cape town map, and also a 1:1 scale fish hoek, and brackenfell.

It should be fine now, I don't know what caused it but the water source shifted from its original position so all the water went right into the starting area causing the flooding.

If you start a new city on this map it should be fixed, I don't know if it automatically also updates allready excisting cities.

Ok, so I've encountered a problem. The river in the starting area tends to flood whenever you build close to or next to it. Don't know if it's something I did or not. Is this happening to anyone else or is it just me? Can't include screenshots to show what I mean 'cause I dont know how to.

Greetings from sunny South Africa! Thanks for sharing this!

No problem, I think it's to small to show the waterflow. Probably also to small to support a bigger city. But when you grow you have some extra water sources on the top of the (table) mountain or you can use watertowers. I will think about adding some extra watersources in a next version but most rivers in Cape Town are small.

Apologies. No, I saw the river. :) I mean when you place the water pump and sewage normally the map shows arrows to point which way the river flows. Now I can see which way the river does flow visually without the arrows, but it is strange that the arrows do no appear at all. Or could it be that the river is too narrow for that display?

There is a small river in the starting area, do you mean it's to small?
