XAM Campaign

Description
XAM Campaign offers a plethora of additions and improvements to Halo CE:

- 50+ new weapons
- 2 new grenade types (Throwing Knife & C4)
- HD blood
- Gore & Dismemberment (affects Elites, Grunts & Jackals)
- New Vehicles
- Updated Vegetation
- New Enemies
- HD weapon muzzleflashes
- HD bullet contrails
- Bullet VFX (Bullets have a small glow when fired, so you can see them ahead of you.)
- Dynamic lights for plasma projectiles. (All plasma projectiles give off light.)
- Plasma weapons burn the leaves of trees & bushes.
- Destructible Spirit dropship & Spirit turret. (You can destroy them both.)
- Detailed sound design
- Flood have been retextured to show the infected species' blood color on their body.
- Flood can no longer use weapons (I didn't want zombies to use guns.)
- Plant life is more dense in the swamp of 343 Guilty Spark.
- Lightmaps have been reworked in certain areas. (Truth and Reconciliation, 343 Guilty Spark)
- Echo 419 has a model now. (You can see her in the Pelican cockpit)
- New music in certain levels. Some of it is copyrighted. (YouTubers trying to monetize, beware.)
- ... adding more to this later.

Troubleshooting

The maps won't load! I'm stuck on the loading screen.
- Install Halo CE: Multiplayer. You need it to play campaign mods.

Does the mod work with CO-OP?
- Yes, but I didn't finish making this coop compatible. You can still play it CO-OP though.

There's a black box in my crosshair!
- Go to the video settings, and change "HUD Style" to "AUTO."
Remastered HUD causes the black box.

I had such a blast with this mod, I would like to see the iron sights updated in some way but they are a really fun feature to play with as is. Thank you for making this

This mod is a definitive way to play Halo Combat Evolved! A few bugs here and there but its super worth the play. In Co-Op i accidentally got a close up jump scare of a Flood running across the doorway on 343 Guilty Spark. Haven't had such a scare since I first experienced The Flood. Things like this is what makes CE so enjoyable. I love the additions to the environment sounds and alarms you hear in the Library. I cried at the end even harder, not just because I destroyed Halo, but also the Elk on the surface. :*)

Lastly, there is one thing I had issue with... The Chaingun on the Warthog seems very inaccurate. My Co-op companion mentioned a few times that it seemed to be less powerful than the original. Made it difficult to gun down the Covenant.

Played the whole campaign on heroic with very few bugs other than the softlock from destroying dropships before they unload, genuinely a great mod. You might have heard this already and it might even be by design but I had to melee my way through a good portion of the second half of the game due to the lack of any enemies that actually carried weapons. if this is how it was intended than still a great mod but if it wasn't than my suggestion would be to add more of the modded weapons in the later levels either by finding them or have more enemies carry them. Either way one of the best mods I've played

we need more flood form,its been a while seen a scary flood encounter now a days(zombie with gun wasnt scary in first person game lol)

Thanks for the reply. I’m hooked on these guns, Assault on the Control Room especially hits different with a whole armory at the start. I was thinking it’d be cool to add “insurgents” that use the modded weapons, in to a mission like AOTCR or Truth and Reconciliation, or even hostile marines on 343 Guilty Spark or Keyes with the scared marine flood dialogue. Just ideas, but the modern weapons feel perfect for it. The other map ideas sound awesome too, I’ll keep an eye out. amazing mod. loved every moment of it. just one change would make this mod make it more enjoyable : give back weapons to the flood for more access as some missions starved me for ammo. overall 9/10
