Country Names Unleashed
Is your OCD acting up? Frustrated by plain generic country names in vanilla? Inconsistent naming standards? Want more immersion? Well, Country Names Unleashed seeks to transform the map by dynamically updating every country’s name based on its government type, ideology, or unique political situation.

There are a few naming mods on the workshop already, however, these are out-of-date last time I checked, so fine, I thought, I'll do it myself. This was initially a personal mod and it has always been a pet peeve of mine that Paradox is so inconsistent with their naming conventions, some countries getting full titles while others are left in the dust. The mod is under continuous development and change, and so there might be oversights and bugs that develop but I try to be prompt in fixing things.

Game Rules
UK Name Format:
Long Name (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland)
Short Name (United Kingdom)

Game rule changes will take effect once the game has started and game has been unpaused for 1 day.

Compatibility
Should currently work well with the following mods:
  • Better Politics Mod
  • Theresia's Communist Overhaul
  • Ultra Historical Politics
Other overhaul mod or sweeping changes to the game is most likely not compatible unless I make them compatible. Will work with mods that do not touch dynamic naming too much nor touches government types and laws significantly.

Languages
This mod is only compatible with the English language for now. Other modders are very welcome to translate this mod!

1.) Yes, it is updated for 1.9, a few of the latest hotfixes shouldn't affect the mod as far as I know even if it says outdated.
2.) ROE is Realms of Exether right? I haven't played it myself, but I don't think this mod will work very well since ROE is quite an overhaul. Some names can probably show up since it seems to use some vanilla government types, but names tied to specific country tags might cause some weird naming or no naming at all.

Added a game rule option for the UK's name. You can now choose your preferred long or short name.

@AlexTheTall Thank you, appreciate it! No plans for any flags right now, but it would be interesting to do. Maybe in the future? I'd most likely make a separate mod in that case, so people are not forced to use new flags with new names.

@Nagasaki I agree! Junta name was mainly a placeholder just using the government name itself until I could come up with something more appropriate, alas did not get that far yet. I will most likely change it soon to something along the lines of your suggestion.
