Mayor Pauline

The Mayor of New Donk City, Pauline, is ready to rock the world of Rivals of Aether! As seen in Super Mario Odyssey, everyone loves her! (Well, with the exception of one large ape)

NSPECIAL: New Donker - Pauline is protected by a New Donker. If he hits someone, he will grab them and throw them either up, down, or forward. You can also turn him around during the throw.

FSPECIAL: Pauline Bomber - Pauline attacks with her hip, thrusting her forward. A smash input will make her travel further. If she hits someone, the unfortunate opponent will be blasted forward by an explosion.

USPECIAL: Pauline Parasol - Pauline travels upwards with her parasol. At the end of the move, she will unfurl the parasol and float gently down. If someone is hit during the rise, she grabs them and pops them away! This also allows her to follow up with another attack if they're unfortunate enough!

DSPECIAL: Mini - Pauline pulls a capsule out, revealing a random Mini toy! Each mini has its use, and they can be grabbed and thrown like items! Throwing one into the ground causes them to walk around. They can be picked up again for combos!

(Common)
Mini Mario: Bounces on hit, cannot walk off platforms
Mini Luigi: Bounces on hit, walks off platforms
Mini Toad: Bounces on hit, travels and falls fast

(Uncommon)
Mini Pauline: Bounces on hit, a bit more powerful, floaty movement

(Rare)
Mini Peach: Bounces on hit, very powerful. If dropped in the air she'll float and be able to hit opponents.

(Super Rare)
Mini Bowser: Explodes on hit, stuns opponents. Cannot walk, can only be regrabbed once.
Mini Donkey Kong: Explodes on hit, extremely powerful. Cannot walk, can only be regrabbed once.

Pauline can float like a princess. She can also float along the ground by pressing down and jump. Fast falling 2 frames after floating allows for a Jump-Cancelled Fast Fall.

Pauline has access to powerful attacks from her tilts. Her Up Tilt can be charged to unleash a powerful blast. Jab > Jab > Special allows her to use her "Mayor Punch". It's hard to hit but if it does, you deserve it.

Pauline's items allow her access to various tech:
-Throwing during the startup of a roll or airdodge allows her to Glide Toss.
-Pressing Special, Taunt, or Attack (if toggled from the CSS) allows her to "Z-Drop" a held item, cancelling any lag associated with a throw and dropping the item down. Mini Peach specifically can float from a Z-Drop.
-You can cancel item grabs into tilts if done during their startup.
-Wavelanding or airdodging into an item automatically grabs it.
