Description
Monument Effects for Overlords
Aiming to increase the viability of Vassal-play, this mod enables overlords to gain the effects of their subjects' monuments.

This is a continuation of Lia's original mod, updated for 1.36's on_action changes, with updated and expanded mod support & features!

About
Have you ever had a playthrough where you struggled with governing capacity, but the land you could have made into a vassal had a nice monument? Or where you wanted to use a monument the requirements of which you did not fulfill, but could have had a vassal that does? Then this mod is for you!

This mod enables overlords to gain the global effects of monuments that their subjects control, as long as the subject fulfills the requirements!

Want to gain the effects regardless of whether your subject fulfills the requirements? Enable this patch.

Compatibility
This mod should be compatible with everything! However overlords will only gain the effects of monuments from supported mods.

Notes
  • Monument modifiers for the overlord should update automatically, but a decision is included to update manually in case of issues
  • Conditional modifiers (the extra ones some monuments have that say "When the conditions XYZ are met:") are not granted to the overlord
  • Monuments that have been moved from their starting province will not grant effects to the overlord (stop stealing Stonehenge!)

This mod causes a bloated error log file that will eventually crash the game after it eats up all your RAM. My EU4 save folder has log files in the Gigs before I found this to be the culprit. The mod seems to be constantly looking for modded cultures, Anbenaar and Warcraft..., that aren't there.

Yes, the mod can generate large error logs due to triggers from supported mods that the game doesn't recognize when those mods aren't enabled.

I will try to fix them in the future but in the meantime, I suggest clearing the error.log file, going to file properties and setting it to read only. That should solve your problem.
