Description
Gmodism Industries Build Platform Mk2

Your Ultimate Building And Testing Platform!

The updated "blueprint style" building platform is packed with features and functions that will help you build anything in From the Depth with this powered construction platform with detection, keyboard shortcuts, building tools and more!

A tractor beam is located in the middle of the platform that lets you hold vehicles above it, so you can switch easily between the vehicle and designing components on the blue flat surface. It is completely flat having no edges.

The platform is divided in 6x6 squares (for easy division by 2 and 3, which is useful for scaling) and has additional labeled rulers on the sides 50m x 60m to easily measure size of structures. It has good detection while not obstructing the flat surface so that you can use the full building field with no obstructions, secondary targeting computer and easy access to them.

It is powered by Steam Engines, RTGs & Electric with injector fuel engines and big steam generators for backup.

The platform has no repair bots and is un-smoked and un-shielded to not interfere with weapons testing, add repairbots yourself if you rather not repair manually with designer "hold Q" menu.

Areas with tools and explanations for designing missile models, APS shells, breadboard and much more. Easy shortcuts for functions to swap APS shell and empty clips.
All weapons fire by just clicking "E" without aiming them. more handy than you can imagen if you haven't seen some of my ftd tutorial videos showing this And it's super easy to integrate pictures for reference due to our little telescope projectors neatly hidden away.

The platform is decorated on the sides with "GMODISM" it's simple metal plates so you are easily able to write your own username on it and resave for a personal touch if you will.

Stats:
  • 1.2M total cost
  • 3M material storage (round nice numbers!)
  • 15M energy storage
  • 50K ammo access
  • 200K+ engine power (more than most battleships)

Useful Information:
The platform is protected against damage, but only to a certain extent, to test stuff against formidable foes, it is recommended that you enable God Mode in designer like this:
Press "C" > "Enable Godmode" using the toggle with a gloria.

To make this Platform spawn as your default building platform, do this:
Click "Esc" > "Load Vehicle" > Check the Lightbulb

To swap between the Complex Controller for special features and the Fortress Controller for movement use "LCtrl+Q"

Complex Controller Functions:
(when controlling vehicle)
  • "E" - Fires all weapons on this platform without aiming (useful for testing).
  • "R" - Empties all APS clips so new shell can be loaded.
  • "T" - Assigns all APS intakes to RED shell (physical on platform).
  • "G" - Assigns all APS intakes to BLUE shell (physical on platform).
  • "Up/Down" Arrows on keyboard opens/closes the projector system or by the interface beside this panel.

A Projector System that allows you to show images in game for reference, paste a link to an image on the CRT interface to display up to 3 images simultaneously.

Get Your Own Fleet Colours & AoG Colours
The game is best played with fleet colours, you can have several presets and switch easily!
Try and add the AoG colours, then try make your own ones and switch between them and see how it looks!

The colours numbering 28-31 are called Fleet Colours and are very cool as they will switch depending on the faction is owning the structure, the other colours 1-27 are specific for this structure, they will not change depending on faction.

Add a new colour scheme in your profile like this:
Click "Z" > Fleet Colours > At the bottom, Load an empty scheme, and fill in some values:
So what colour is used for what?
  • Color 28 / Detail:
-Used for cohesive details, like linings, decorations and marks.

  • Color 29 / Trim:
-(rarely)Used as trim; a line along hull of a ship. Often used instead as accent colour, or as a cover paint for all wood specifically (how I use it as the wood is ugly af)

  • Color 30 / Secondary:
-Used as secondary build colour, like the next most common one for the faction.

  • Color 31 / Main:
-Used as main colour of the crafts externals in general, your most important colour.

Camouflage settings are in build mode "B" > "E" and down on the colours here, you can set these variables.

Tips: Color 1 (red) is often used as "anti-fouling paint" for ships, I recommend lowering the shininess and disabling camo for it. Color 8 (shiny grey) is great for metallic surfaces to make them have a chromed/polished appearance

To get the colours of the Army of Gmodism, simply add a new colour scheme:
Color 28 / Detail: "Gilded Brass" Red: 0,91 Green: 0,75 Blue: 0,25 Alpha: 1 Shininess: 4 (7) Camouflage: Disabled
Color 29 / Trim: "Mahogany Wood Paint" Red: 0,35 Green: 0,17 Blue: 0,08 Alpha: 0,99 Shininess: -2 (1) Camouflage: Disabled
Color 30 / Secondary: "Blued Steel" Red: 0,02 Green: 0,01 Blue: 0 Alpha: 1 Shininess: 2 (5) Camouflage: Disabled
Color 31 / Main: "Invictus Shine" Red: 0,88 Green: 0,88 Blue: 0,92 Alpha: 0,85 Shininess: -2 (1) Camouflage: Enabled, Paint Under

Constructed on Platform Mk1.

Trivia: The name of the AI in this Platform shares a name (and perhaps even cloud connection to the very core?) with an "interesting" AI known from the Dune universe that may or may not have been responsible for billio.... [Transmission Censored]

Amazing

changed my graphics settings to match the video and I'll revise that I think the blue value should be ~0.06

Sorry for taking so long to reply, the 'Blued steel' (secondary fleet colour / color 30) is what I think is wrong. your video and the platform both have "Blue: 0" which leaves the colour as a red-ish brown.
I don't know the correct value but comparing with how it looks in your showcase video it should be ~0.14

A_Mango_Kabbab I tried loading the platform from another account, what value is missing from what colour? Can you explain a bit more what's the issue?

Loving the platform. It gives me space and tools to develop the system going on the tractorbeamed vehicle I'm working on!

Hiya, great build, changed it to the default spawn in the designer.
