Internal boundaries*:
1. provincial or regional boundaries and names, e.g. Chongqing municipality, China; Texas, USA; Scotland, UK; Shikoku Island, Japan; part of the former Kingdom of Nezhi, Saudi Arabia; Shia part of Iran;
2. incomplete subdivision of provinces within a region, e.g. the interior of the Volga Federal District in Russia is incompletely divided into several provincial parts and can be seen as a merger of several oblasts.

内部边界*：
1. 省界或者区域边界和名称，比如中国重庆直辖市，美国德克萨斯州，英国苏格兰，日本四国岛，沙特阿拉伯的原内志王国部分，伊朗的什叶派部分；
2. 区域内省份的不完全细分，比如俄罗斯的伏尔加联邦区的内部被不完全地分为了几个省级部分，可以看作几个州的合并。
