Description
Wick Opalhart, a young Fire Genasi Wizard, rolls for initiative! Being a Conjuration Wizard from D&D 5e edition, all of her moves and abilities are things you would find in the game! While a bit softspoken, her magic is a force of nature you don?t want to find yourself on the receiving end of! She has two different gameplay mechanics to bring to the fight!

-GAMEPLAY MECHANIC 1: Criticals
Wick?s Up Strong, Side Strong, and Down Strong attacks all have a 1/20 chance of being a critical hit, doing double damage and much more knockback! On the other end, there?s also a 1/20 chance of it being a critical miss, where she accidentally hurts herself in the process.

-GAMEPLAY MECHANIC 2: Spell Preparation
By pressing SHIELD + TAUNT at the same time, Wick will pull out a spellbook with which to prepare different spells to use in the fight. You?re able to change between 5 different spells for Neutral Special, Side Special, and Down Special, and 3 different spells for Up Special. Be sure to confirm your choice by pressing the standard attack button while the spell page is up and to cycle between different move choices with left and right. Here is a list of all the different moves Wick can choose from:

NEUTRAL SPECIALS (Red Page):
Fireball: Wick charges up a mote of concentrated, potent flame which she can later fire at an opponent. It explodes in a destructive blast of fire! A staple spell that every wizard needs, indeed.

Minor Illusion: Wick casts an illusion spell to trick opponents! She sends out a fake copy of herself as she turns invisible, able to move around slightly.

Catapult: Wick summons a regular golden chalice and magically flings it at opponents! There?s a chance something bigger might be summoned?

Magic Missile: This move doesn?t miss and homes in on opponents. While it doesn?t do much damage and no knockback at all, it?s a good way to safely do a little bit more damage from afar!

Thunderwave: Wick lets out a thunderous force from within! Anyone caught in the shockwave will go flying!



SIDE SPECIALS (Green Page):
Steel Wind Strike: Wick readies her blade and rushes forward at extreme speed, decisively slashing at anyone in her way!

Ice Knife: A slow-moving ice blade is thrown out, which gets embedded into an opponent. Once embedded, the ice knife will then explode into several icy shards!

Misty Step: A quick horizontal teleport! A great way to speedily get out of danger or surprise opponents! It has a cooldown, so it cannot be used all willy-nilly.

Power Word: Pain: Wick will grab an opponent in front of her and mutter a single-word incantation to inflict excruciating pain to the opponent. This move also has the Critical feature. On a 1/20 Critical Hit, this move deals a whopping 50% damage to the opponent. Likewise, on a 1/20 Critical Miss, the move backfires and Wick takes the 50% damage instead! High risk, high reward!

Lightning Bolt: Wick jumps backward and sends out a bolt of lightning, stunning opponents that are caught in it!


UP SPECIALS (Blue Page):
Blink: Wick quickly teleports a short distance upward. She can Blink 3 times before entering a helpless freefall, so use them wisely.

Dimension Door: This summons an arcane door that transports her in any direction. If anyone happens to be in the door?s vicinity, they will be taken along with her!

Fly: Wick soars so gracefully through the air, then enters freefall! In terms of recovery distance, this is her best option.

DOWN SPECIALS (Purple Page):
Catnap: Wick decides to take a little snooze, right then and there. She is left wide open for several seconds, but heals 10% damage. Much like Jigglypuff from Smash Bros, there?s a magical arcane reaction that happens right within her that does extreme damage.

Summon Fey: A small fairy straight from the Feywild is conjured into the fight! The fairy has bad eyesight, however, and won?t be able to attack anything that?s too far away. Once an opponent enters her range, then she will prove to be quite the annoyance for them.

Cloudkill: Wick throws a magical smoke bomb that explodes into a deadly, stationary cloud that lingers for several seconds. Everyone, including Wick, who decides to stay in the gas cloud will be dealt an ENORMOUS amount of damage. This is a good way to control the battlefield a bit.

Counterspell: A sigil of protection surrounds Wick, reflecting any and all projectiles that come her way! It is much like Fox?s Reflector from Smash Bros, just without doing any damage.

Jump: Wick launches herself in an arc, careening in the direction she faced previously. While it can be a good recovery tool, she can also cancel into other moves with it!


ULTRA: Gate
Wick uses a 9th level spell slot to open a portal from the Astral Sea, summoning the legendary Astral Train (built by a friend of hers)! It mows down anyone unfortunate enough to be in its way!


Additionally, as previously mentioned, all of her moves are derived from a D&D spell. Here is the list:

Down Throw - Vortex Warp
Block - Shield
Parry - Counterspell
Midair Dodge - Invisibility
Sidestep Dodge - Silvery Barbs
Get-Up Attack - Thunderstep
Match Entrance - Teleport
Victory - Pyrotechnics
