Description
This addon changes color palette of UI to match the look and feel of 2004 Steam green VGUI.

It was originally uploaded by me on GameBanana with name "Old Steam/GoldSource styled GUI"[gamebanana.com] and it has many flaws and errors I haven't fixed. This workshop version is made for 20th anniversary update and remade from scratch with enhancements, fixes for workshop dialog menu and other stuff.

To make sure it works correctly try switching between HL2 and episodes in main menu or start any map.
Current workaround for console is to load a map and open console and type mat_antialias [valuehere] or you can just switch antialiasing in video options. (Thanks to Whurr in comments for temp solution)

Known issue:
  • Console colors do not change due to how workshop works, waiting for Valve to fix it.

love this one, i am curious if anyone has remade the original 2004 vgui tho. it was kinda the same but the options or "background" section was a little darker.

Yeah, but this dude literally reuploaded my outdated mod from gamebanana and at the moment of creation (4 years ago) it was made for pre-20th anniversary version of HL2, it lacks new GorDIN fonts, kinda broken and incomplete. Maybe i'll update GB page some day.
