Darian's arm stands out, doesn't it? How about what his eye-patch conveniently covers? While what that obviously is doesn't stand out as much, what does is what led to Darian ending up like that. You see, Darian happens to be a victim of severe peer pressure and drunken escapades. An introvert lead to one too many bars by "friends" who sought to buzz away the man's perceived shyness. These friends happened to be very convincing and well-minded enough, but none of them could've told each other where that fateful morning was going to take them. Being as drunk as they were, they decided it would've been an hit if they were to act as though they were leading a concert. In the middle of the hinterlands. Deep in the hinterlands where Halli just so happened to be at the time. Hosting metal concerts in massive grottoes happens to be a treasured venue among Earria's young adults. Well, long story short, Darian and his drunken friends came across Halli as a group of wild hooligans. Halli, ignorant of mortal ways, misunderstood their approach as "hostile worship". And so throughout that long morning, Darian and his friends were experimented on with the pursuit of creating a Eudanai descendant in mind. Darian only survived with the grafted neck and head of a baby Sumesi and the eye of an adult Sumesi. The drunkenness that clouded Darian's judgement during this experiment became a permanent fixture of his personality. His pigmentation? Drained to the point of being rendered pale. A far cry from the pure white skin the Eudanai had.
