Ok so I've been seeing a lot of problems with crashes with this mod, all I have to say is try and reinstall your game, I know it sounds a bit extreme but trust me it works, whenever I have issues with workshop mods.

Half Life 2 players, this mod conflicts with HL2's twentieth anniversary update. Therefore, in order for the mod to work, you need to install one of the demos of the game.

it crashes my game for some reason. Every time I loaded into the scrapyard in Black Mesa East with this mod enabled, my game instantly crashes.

@MrGlebM I really don't know what to tell you anymore, it works completely fine for me and I've tested it in every part of the game where dog appears and no crahes, my only guess is that some pcs might not be able to run it because this has 2k textures but that's only a guess, I've given a solution that worked for me with another mod that kept crashing for me, for now that's all I can do since I barely know source modding.
