Persephone

Persephone is a beloved enemy and character from the Castlevania series, I based her movement around the different incarnation from the series, from the Maid enemy in Castlevania: Chronicles to her appearance in Portrait of Ruin, the game which I ripped her sprites from; additionally some of monsters from that game are used as well for her attacks.

This is my second character in workshop, so feel free to point out any errors you, but with that been said, I hope you enjoy playing the karate maid from Castlevania in Rivals.

Nyx poison still affects opponent on respawn if they died while been affected, this was one of the main problems that hold me back from releasing her, I couldn’t fix, so feel free to write down in the comment if you are able to fix it.


Persephone performs a three kick sequence; the final kick makes Persephone dash forward.
While dashing, Persephone would bring her trusty vacuum, abruptly stopping while performing a Dash Attack, doing a long reaching multihit at the end of her vacuum.
Persephone summons Lerajie, who point her sniper rifle towards the ground in charge attack; doing a heavy hit in the gound in front of he, knocking opponents upwards and created a ricocheting projectile that bounces around the floor and walls.
Persephone throws two daggers forwards.
Persephone performs a flying kick that propels her forwards.
Persephone hits opponents behind by starting her vacuum midair, which also pushes oppoents in front of her away from her.
Persephone does multi hit under her by stomping numerous times.
Persephone does a simple uppercut that knock enemies upwards.
Persephone does a simple karate chop.

Persephone performs a powerful overhead kick
Persephone charges a powerful punch, which makes her slide forward.
Persephone charges her vacuum, pulling opponents towards her; if it touch the tip of the vacuum, they receive damage and are knock backed.
Persephone does a low ground hit with her vacuum, dealing a small amount of damage and healing small amount of health back.
Persephone summons Nyx, who dashes forward, poisoning the first enemy she collides with.
Persephone summons a Butler Skeleton, who throws some delicious curry projectile overhead; as soon as it touches the ground, the curry stay there for a small amount of time.
Persephone propels herself upwards by starting an aerial overhead kick that moves her forward as well, this move has both a multhit while going up and strong hit when it lands, completing the kick.
