Anglo-Norman Windows

Description
Here are a selection of windows form England during the period after the Norman Conquest. They range from the extremely simple to the highly ornate. All are closely based on surviving examples from: Exeter Cathedral, Rochester castle, churches in Ancroft, Lincoln and York, and Castle Rising in Norfolk.

I will publish a mod with 2 doors and a new gate/double door to accompany these windows as soon as I can

* 03/09/2024 Added a large wall version of each window.

As always, please let me know if there are any problems.

@Arcturus: yes, I'd almost forgotten about Richmond. A fine example of early castle architecture.

As for brick versions of my stone blocks, the strength and crafting requirements of each block would be wrong if the texture was replaced. So there's another thing to add to my to-do list!

One castle you may be interested in is Richmond Castle. Built around the 1070/80s and the Keep is still fully intact and exploreable. The gatehouse is intact and there's still a very good amount of the curtain wall (though you can't get on them).

Amazing example of Norman architecture and the history behind it is that it was one of (if not THE) first Norman castles in the country.

As for adding more blocks, I'm always working on that. I want to add a range of different styles throughout the 'dark ages, medieval and renaissance' periods. I might even go beyond that time span.

@ Henry: Thanks!I have some horn screens and stained glass: they are in production already. I haven't made shutters for these windows yet but a small block attachment might be possible. There is also the Working Casement Glass Windows mod made by STORI3D_PAST: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=916273051&searchtext=casement+windows This is what I use most of the time.

I'm not sure about brick yet. I'm still thinking about the best solution.

@ arildskovdorrit: I think it would be easier to apply a brick texture to the existing blocks. It's not something I've done before, but I think it shouldn't be too difficult - we already have a number of texture replacement mods. I'll ask around.
