Minecraft Potions | Combat Items

Description
About "Minecraft Potions | Combat Items"

This mod adds 16 potions from Minecraft into the game!
Most of them can be found throughout the world.
Furthermore, the brewing stand can be found as a stagecoach item, which, completely unexpectedly, brews those potions!

The Brewing Stand

Before Each Location: Produces Pixelated Potions!
Can produce Special Potions

For reference, the chance for potions to be produced is the same as for “Alembic and Retort” to produce “Concoction and Powder” items.
The chance for special potions to be produced is twice as likely as other pixelated potions.
You can find the brewing stand like regular stagecoach items – at inns, as loot or even at the Field Hospital!

Special Potions

Splash Potion of Decay

Adds 2 Blight (5 Turns)
Adds 2 Burn (5 Turns)
Adds 1 Blight to adjacent enemies (5 Turns)
Adds 1 Burn to adjacent enemies (5 Turns) | Potion stack size: 1

Adds the following effect (5 Turns):
10% chance to gain 1 Weak Token
10% chance to gain 1 Vulnerable Token
10% chance to gain 1 Blind Token
10% chance to gain 1 Immobilize Token
10% chance to gain 1 Daze Token
10% chance to gain 1 Stun Token
10% chance to gain a combo Token | Potion stack size: 2

Potions that are categorized as "special" are comparably stronger than the usual pixelated potions. Definitely something to look out for!

Please leave feedback and report any bugs! Even though this mod may seem like a joke, I still want to balance it appropriately.

Things that will get added in the future:
Custom Sounds

  • [REWORKED]
    - [~] Splash Potion of Poison:
Now only deals 2 HP of blight damage to the target for 5 turns.
The blight can now spread to the neighbouring enemies for 1 HP of blight damage for 5 turns. Can be resisted.
First of all, the old version, dealing 20 HP of damage over 5 turns, was way too strong. The blight alone could kill some enemies without you having to spend a single turn on them. Furthermore, the amount of damage combined with the ability to have 2 Splash Potions of Poison made it especially easy to defeat bosses.
The new version distributes the damage across multiple enemies, which should fix these shortcomings.

    - [~] Splash Potion of Decay:
Now only deals 2 HP of blight and 2 HP of burn damage to the target for 5 turns.
The blight and burn can now spread to the neighbouring enemies, each dealing 1 HP of their respective damage
for 5 turns. Can be resisted.
Same reasoning as for the Splash Potion of Poison rework.
Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed and polished some tooltips.

Hi @pj.tiberio, once you enable it, you may find them at the first Inn you come across already. They may drop from road debris, can be earned by resistance encounters, etc. Basically, everywhere where you can find "Milk-Soaked Linen", you can find the potions.

That being said, I believe mods (besides palette mods afaik) do not work in the Kingdoms Mode right now. Red Hook will bring mod support soon though!

Very fun mod. Balance wise I think the poison potion does a bit too much damage, especially considering a character can hold 2. Can trivialize lair boss fights.

Seems like a fun mod, I'll give it a shot!

Holy crap, you're fast! You even updated the tags to be "Pixelated" like I said (although I named them such because you said the word first)! Commendable efforts! Yes, I did mean Bottle Case.

@Blu_Ni
Thanks for sharing this!!
The potions shouldn't be obtainable through "Alembic & Retort" - I'll change this right away.
I haven't thought much about general item synergies before. I think you're talking about "Bottle Case"? Sounds great - I'll add this in the next update!

Woah. This mod adds a helluva lot of consumables for Alembic & Retort to craft. I dare say makes Alembic & Retort's crafting pool bloated. What if I want the stress relief of the powders?
I would suggest to add a new class of category "Pixelated", and then let Bottling Kit interact with "Pixelated" too. Potion of Healing & Regeneration can remain restoratives, I'll say. Other that, I this mod is really cool!

This is the kind of mod I've been expecting! Thank you!
