Aylex Blackfyre is a submod for the Game of Thrones mod for CK3. Play in an alternate history where the lost son of Maelys the Monstrous has secured Dragonstone. Aylex will have to struggle to maintain his secret and secure long lasting power in this Crowned Stag Era

Aylex's Story

Aylex Blackfyre's tale unfolds in an alternate universe of "A Song of Ice and Fire," where he is the last son of Maelys the Monstrous Blackfyre. After the War of the Ninepenny Kings, Aylex's mother fled to Dragonstone, seeking refuge while carrying a newborn Aylex with her. Raised in secret, his mother worked as a servant at Dragonstone, keeping their true identities hidden. Aylex grew up using the guise of being a dragonseed to answer the question of his Valyrian features, which closely resembled those of the Targaryen line.

As he matured, Aylex joined the guard of Dragonstone, eventually rising through the ranks and earning the position of Captain of the Household Guard, knighted by Rhaegar himself. Despite the irony of his situation, Aylex harbored deep respect for Rhaegar, serving him loyally while concealing his true Blackfyre heritage.

Following Rhaegar's death at the Trident and the fall of the Targaryen rule, Dragonstone became the last refuge for the fleeing Targaryens—Queen Rhaella and her young son, Viserys. During this tumultuous time, Aylex was appointed tasked with securing the defense of Dragonstone.

As the conflict reached its peak and the fate of the remaining Targaryens became perilous, Aylex orchestrated a complex deception to protect the young heirs. He staged their deaths, secretly sending them across the Narrow Sea to safety, while publicly declaring their demise and seizing control of Dragonstone by raising the Blackfyre banner and proclaiming himself Lord of Dragonstone.

Believing Aylex's deception, King Robert Baratheon recognized him as "Aylex Blackfyre, Lord of Dragonstone," commending him for ending the Targaryen line. Unbeknownst to Westeros, Aylex's actions not only secured his own position but also safeguarding the future of the Targaryen children he had sent into exile.

Know Issues

• I have not tested the new changes to the Invasion mechanic, before I had to make a change to receive a notification but it looks to be solved in base AGOT but more testing is needed
  
• I have not tested playing as anyone other than Aylex Blackfyre, I have not made any AI logic for him. If you do try to play as Stannis of Storms End, good luck.
