中国人民革命军事博物馆是中国唯一的大型综合性军事博物馆，1958年9月正式组建。展览大楼于1958年10月动工兴建，1959年7月竣工，是向国庆十周年献礼的首都十大建筑之一。同年10月开始内部预展，1960年建军节之际正式开放。营区占地面积9.37万平方米，建筑面积13.6万平方米，陈列面积近4万平方米。展览大楼中央7层，两侧4层，高94.7米，顶端托举着金碧辉煌、直径6米的镀金中国人民解放军“八一”军徽。展览大楼有22个陈列厅、2个陈列广场，自然展线长达12公里。陈列厅高大宽敞，通透明亮。

The Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution is China's only large-scale comprehensive military museum. It was officially established in September 1958. Construction of the exhibition building started in October 1958 and was completed in July 1959. It is one of the ten major buildings in the capital dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the National Day. Internal previews began in October of the same year, and it was officially opened on the occasion of Army Day in 1960. The camp covers an area of ​​93,700 square meters, with a construction area of ​​136,000 square meters and a display area of ​​nearly 40,000 square meters. The exhibition building has 7 floors in the center and 4 floors on both sides. It is 94.7 meters high. The top of the exhibition building holds the resplendent gold-plated "August 1st" military emblem of the Chinese People's Liberation Army with a diameter of 6 meters. The exhibition building has 22 exhibition halls, 2 exhibition squares, and a natural exhibition line of 12 kilometers. The showroom is tall, spacious, transparent and bright.
