Report a translation problem
The creation has to be on the lift and the seat has to be vanilla. U key is in my case (which is also the default key), if you remapped your keys it will be different for you. Also might not work properly depending on what other mods you have running.
I am totally with you on office chairs being awesome, it's one of my favourite seats. They are unfortunately hard-coded in the game. But now that I think about it, I suppose I can add those as a separate modded part.
One of the reasons I've not looked into integrating the mod into survival mode is that if you're playing modded survival, it's unlikely that you will only be using just this one mod, and that's just going to be a compatibility nightmare.
As for the lift issue, that is intentional since there are other tool mods out there that may make use of the same key and this avoids conflict with those. Also, to be clear, the inventory slot doesn't have to be empty, it just can't be a tool.
