Halo: Prevarication

Description
Prevarication is back again after MCC updated and made the mod unplayable I have now released this mod again with 4 new maps included. 4 new missions are present featuring new enemies and weapons to shake up the rugged gameplay of Halo 3 ODST.

Halo: Prevarication

Jump feet first into hell in this modded custom campaign set in an infected city controlled by an old foe. Use the rebalanced sandbox to decimate your enemies, help allies and perhaps, you might make it out alive. Play smart with your health and ammo and avoid getting close and pray you won't end up like them. Will you find the source of the plague or will you be consumed like those who tried to stop it before?

>> Experience a new take on the ODST gameplay, burn your enemies with the expanded incendiary weapons or fill them with lead using the classics.

>> Fight enemies completely new to the genre, figure out their weaknesses and use them to your advantage.

>> Jump, climb and run through an infested city in an environment not seen before in Halo

>> Look for hidden messages left for you by those who came before

Sometimes we would have had time to scream

Developer note:
THIS IS STILL THE ORIGINAL MOD - nothing has been changed or edited since last update. This is the exact same version of the files from the previous version. The mod files have been updated to be compatible with the newest update of the MCC.

I think you and a lot of people will be happy to see the new adjustments that have been made. Flood infectors no longer just spawn out of every dead body, the dmr sound has a dmr sound and no longer falls into the map. All custom weapons have hud icons, some dialogue has been implemented though it's not entirely full or complete yet and still needs a lot of work. I've adjusted some combat moments in the 2nd part of the mod. No more flood bridge during the hornet mission. I removed the invisible human flood forms with blood coming out and just replaced them with the invisible crawlers. I reduced the fog coming from enemies and replaced it more with a pollen effect that no longer harms the player but just kind of stuns you a bit. The first two levels in this campaign have been combined into one level that is completely reconstructed. Still a lot of other changes too. The tutorial level is a little more interesting as well.

Yeah I kinda did some cleaning up and deleted the source directory D:

Also MCC updating shouldn't break everything, you just rebuild the maps to the new version and go through the same uploading process. Or maybe I am confused and you meant it breaks it in some other way. Either way, there's no reason to make more pages unless you simply lost the ability to modify your current ones.

Ugh, thanks for the link. I'll uninstall and re-download this again but I hope in the future the same page stays up.

Yeah I know exactly what you are saying. As long as mcc doesn't break everything xD I'm leaving it to the other mod that is public. Its available now and that is going to be the only one moving forward.

Can't wait to see where the revisions go! Only real negative thing I've had with this mod is the needing to frequently re-download it from newer pages instead of just updating one. It's very off putting and is even worse when an update releases because you never know unless you're searching the workshop for a new version.

Update for a revision of the first 2 levels combined should be released either tonight or tomorrow. The level should work in a slightly more user friendly way to help kickstart the player into the campaign. This doesn't mean that the level is going to be easy however. Remember to look for hidden areas for Easter eggs or supplies. Thanks for enjoying this campaign and after this release I will be applying more updates / fixes as well as working on the next levels. :]
