Jewett Interurban Car 800 Series - one of the representatives of the classic, heavy-weight, composite (wood/steel), high-speed interurban of the USA. This car operated on the Allentown-Philadelphia interurban line for the Lehigh Valley Transit Company.

@dylan.use your 100% right. however the biggest problem i find with doing this is the impact of vanilla maintenance, and its effect on running any profitable services with interurban passenger equipment. if it was only slightly lower, it would make a big difference, especially when multiple cars need to be used for higher frequency routes. however, it is possible in some ways with certain interurban equipment on the workshop. dummy cars with no power would potentially be helpful, as im sure in real life Interurban companies would operate one power through one car and not both= would lower maintenance cost in game. Its an underappreciated era of transportation in the US, and all of these mods are a real dream come true!!

Honestly one of the scenario modders in the community needs to make a Streetcar/Interurban/electric railway (traction) only scenario. Maybe small trucks too... Compete with some already present railways and trucking to service commuters or intercity passengers? Combine type Interurbans and streetcars would need to service freight (for those milk run services and such), and maybe a special street railway box car or two. Need more models like this one though!
