Smart Power and Tractive Effort Customiser

Description
This script mod allows users to fine-tune the power and the tractive effort of all vehicles based on specified multipliers in the mod menu.

It employs efficient data structures and loop optimizations to minimize loading performance overhead. You can find the Multiplier's menu sliders through Mod's menu.

Seamlessly integrates with the game: The code integrates seamlessly with the game's loading mechanism, allowing it to modify vehicle's parameters without disrupting the overall gameplay experience. It maintains compatibility with vanilla vehicles and various mod additions.

Writing code is a complex and time-consuming task, which often takes me away from my work and family. If you appreciate my work and would like to support me, so that I can continue to help all of you in the future, please consider clicking on the link below:

to get realistic acceleration cut the kn metric to half its value

trains in transport fever have twice the amount of traction for unknown reasons
meaning traction doesn't mater way sooner than it should be

That's not quite what I had in mind. When you set the game to intermediate speed, the speed of the trains is closer to reality. However, the other elements of the game also move faster. In fact, your mod should just offer the game's intermediate speed, while the game stays on first gear. In this way, all vehicles will have a higher speed according to their real power, without altering the top speed. Thanks all the same 😉

@MF75018 That's the game automatically adjusting the price of the vehicle (and therefore also the running costs) based on its stats.

Great idea but the mod seems to add a multiplier on the running costs too ?

Perfect mod. Vanilla acceleration is out of scale and late game trains often struggle to speed up quickly enough before they reach their next stop given towns are pretty close.

@AksLrs yup perfect. thank you

@MK3P, in the game's mod directory (where you activate the mods), choose the name of this mod with a single click. When you choose it, you can see in the right panel the mod menu, as it is in the screenshot here.

Hi, is this for individual locos, or is it a shared slider across all of them?
