Description
Counterfactuals
for Crusader Kings 3 1.16.*

Counterfactuals is a small content mod containing events that react and respond to various ahistorical things that might happen in your game (as well as some historical ones). Currently adds events for the following scenarios:

  • Crusaders who occupy Jerusalem or Mecca have the ability to sack those cities.
  • If the Holy Roman Emperor decides to convert away from Catholicism, the Pope will respond accordingly. It is the Holy Roman Empire, after all.
  • The Mongols will now publicly sack various key cities around the map when they occupy them or seize them in a war, destroying their special buildings. Includes all of the mongol sack events from CK2, as well as a whole host of new ones from Delhi to Dublin to Timbuktu.
  • As you approach and reach a World Conquest, the game will recognize your achievement.

Overwrites no vanilla files, so should be compatible with anything except total conversions.

will you add destruction of holy sites as well? For instance, destroying the Mecca holy site, as any other religious group. Or if you become the Roman Empire as Byzantines and control Mecca, you can convert it into a church in the same way that the Muslims can turn the Hagia Sophia into a mosque.

There is a bug I encountered where the sack of Mecca Event fired but was between muslims, tho they were shia the game did as if they were christians. Also it fired like 5 windows of the same event.

It's not save game compatible. Since I started an old save and it immediately said Mecca was sacked...
