Description

Nothing lasts.

Adds a new disaster, exclusive to Great Powers that fulfill the condition of collecting Decay score. Consider this a 'Boss Disaster' that effectively adds rise and fall mechanic, making the game more dynamic and perhaps less predictable.

Disaster fires once per game. If you survive, you stood the test of time. If you don't... well, at least schoolbooks will describe your demise in great detail.

Difference from Eclipse of Empires 1.0.:
Unlike the previous version, the Disaster is now avoidable - poor government policies and decisions in Events will give Decay score, while other choices will prevent it from firing. Corruption and Overextension is now scary and dangerous. The Decay score never decreases, except upon entering Golden Age for the first time.

On the downside, previous version was more 'mod friendly' and you could have it with pretty much any global overhaul. This version alters vanilla events, so it might be incompatible with certain large mods. Supports CK-EU4 converter and Plati's visual mods (tested).

@DJRomantech, when it comes to modding, I am kind of a nomad, I let my creativity lead me. I dont stay within one game - after EU4 I've shifted to Civ6, did minor mods for other games. Lately, been tinkering around Baldurs Gate 3 modding tools.

I've got a bunch of your graphics running, but also, the writing for this is feels better than the vanilla game, I like the tone of epic drama. I think there is lots of presentation paradox do with minimum effort because they know they will make their money anyway.

Are you working on any original projects? EU mods seem pretty good for testing fresh ideas.

loving this, this is what they took from us!!! desperate to rebalance ottomans and russia though now they keep blowing up and i kind of miss their menacing blobbing as a source of big boss drama.
id like to start the ticker later for wild bare knuckle endgame. also cashing out your spy network for a decay bump is a nice cross mechanic. im a junkie for mod balance now i barely play the game i wake up to find out what happened this time haha. great work.
