Strike at Karkand (BF2) [Map]

Well, I think a lot of you guys knows this place very well.
First of all, I would like to say this was made with love for those old days playing BF2, and I really wondered with myself what would look like a battle in Karkand on Easy Red 2, but there wasn't any way to find out unless I started one map from scratch.

It wasn't an easy task. A lot of you might know that making a map is a time sinker, you spend hours making a single town square if you go for the detailed way. I wouldn't say tha this one is an accurate version of the original map, because I wanted to make one in a way I thought it would look cool but keeping it's core layout without huge changes. I decided to use almost any building available on the map maker because I didn't wanted to see a one single building being reused on every single part of the map. Maybe I messed everything going this way, and yes, the road texture is terrible, but in the end, I'm really happy with the result. I will, in a near time, update the map once Normandy DLC comes out with new props and buldings.

All the city bulding is intact, I wanted to leave it that way because Easy Red 2 have a cool destruction system, and it's really nice to see the buldings being destroyed in the heat of the battle.

I hope you guys enjoy this little tribute and have some nostalgic feelings as I had while testing this one. I've made a simple mission for those who are not familiar with the mission maker or don't like to mess with it, just to explore the city and it's surroundings, but I really encourage those who didn't tried it yet because man, we have a powerful and amazing tool shipped within this game. It might look complicated at first, but once you give it a shot, you'll see how cool and simple it is.
This is my second work so far, don't expect to be one of the best around here on steam workshop, but like a very known farmer once said "it isn't much, but it's honest work."

The map is based on the BF2 32 players layout. Maybe in the future, I'll work a little more to get the full 64 players layout, but for now, it can deliver some nice battles.
