Report a translation problem
They're set to be automatically drawn between each starting settlement, as you could probably guess, but there's a variable(?) called rmSetConnectionSmoothDistance that might ease up how straight they are when they meet... maybe. There's also some other variables I haven't played with that seem like they could add "wiggle room" to making connections such as the roads.
And if nothing else, I think I can tell the script to put random amounts of grass on them in places, which I'd probably do regardless. Again, I'll probably be slow getting around to this, but I won't stop you if you want to try it yourself.
