Are the affinity traits like Shadow Inclined actually working? When creating a race, it doesn't seem to show the additional affinity in the faction's alignment.

It shouldn't be crashing. I'm using it right now in my current playset without issue, and it requires no DL:C dependencies. Do you have an older version of the mod? Try unsubbing and resubbing to force steam to update it
