The Tale of the Dragon Campaign V2

Description
This mod contains a revised version of the official campaign "The Tale of the Dragon" from the DLC released in 2016, which adds improvements like AI scripts and solutions to fix a lot of bugs. The campaign flow and the story aren't changed by this, but the gameplay balancing is adjusted a bit in few cases.
The mod is inspired by the mod "Revised Tale of the Dragon Campaign" posted by Ippert in 2019, and can be seen as an advanced version of this with more features and adjustments to typical AoM-gameplay of the other campaigns.

Changes (extract)
- Win messages ("You are Victorious!") have been added in all missions.
- A lot of issues and bugs which (can) occur in the official version of the campaign, have been fixed.
- Most of the outro cinematics have been moved to extra files and will be unlisted in the campaign menu (The epilogue is unlisted, too).
- After winning the first mission there is now the option to watch the Chinese tutorial.
- A lot of new added ai scripts is replacing the controls of enemy players by simple triggers.
- The background music will always start correctly when gameplay begins.
- The score (blue text at the right screen border) is now hidden for each mission.
- All intro cinematics can be skipped safely.
- To the string table referenced player names (e.g. {70003} ) have been simple replaced with the english strings.
Player names (unfortunately in English only) are now shown correctly in the diplomacy overview and when invoking a god power.
- Some adjustments in the string tables for English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish have been done.

For more details see the version change log.

Excellent point! Thank you :D

I haven't tried using both mods at the same time, but it's better to activate either Ippert's mod or this one because files of the other would be overwritten depending on the priority set. In this case, functionality is no longer guaranteed.

I'm sure the answer is no, but would you advise only having this mod or both this and Ippert's? Just wanted to double check, because sometimes mods work together rather than separate. Thanks! :D

I think the aomxai.xs overridden by this mod shouldn't cause any crash or issue. Just take a look over the other mods you use. Maybe one of them overrides the aomxai.xs again. My change in the aomxai.xs only fixes a mistake made by the developers. The computer players in some missions of the campaigns are using the complete AI script with predefined parameters. One of these is named "cvPlayerToAttack". If a player is set in this parameter, the computer will attack him with highest priority until he's defeated. Without doing the change in aomxai.xs, the AI will always look for a random enemy player to attack as it is in each random map game because the "SetTarget" function uses the wrong parameter. For this reason, some missions can quickly become very easy and boring because the computer player doesn't attack you.

Good stuff, mate. Thanks for making this. Can you elaborate on what your change in aomxai.xs does? (''SetTarget(comparePlayerID);'' replaced with ''SetTarget(actualPlayerID);'')

Could this cause a crash in random map games? I'm asking because I seem to have a problem playing Erebus map type (probably others too?) and I'm not sure which of my (few) mods could be causing it.

Yes, the Steam achievement for completing this campaign is unfortunately affected by this mod. The problem seems to be the extra files for the outro cinematics. For this reason, you will get the "Ruler of Dragons" achievement already after completing the fifth mission when using this mod. But, there's no way for me to change this because the feature is hardcoded.

Will these mods invalidate the achievements for completing the campaign?
