Buried Treasure - Random Loot Nests

Description
Inspired by Bus Driver's "Random World Loot" https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1699022473

Adds a few different flavors of randomly spawning loot to the world. More difficult areas typically have more expensive loot. Loot is balanced around being unguarded and 100% free, don't expect it to make you rich.

Abandoned Camp: [Common everywhere livable.]
Cheap household items, food, some building materials, maybe a rusty stick or two, usually includes a couple camp beds

Textile Caravan: [Rare in civilized areas and trade routes.]
Some basic fabric or leather clothes, and some crafting materials, no armor.

Hunter's Camp: [Common in the Cannibal Hunter and UC territories.]
Low level crossbows and bolts, as well as some meat or animal skins.

Warrior Camp: [Found in most places, more common in Shek and bandit territory.]
A few rusty swords and some medical supplies.

Smashed Machinery: [Common near ruins, especially the Deadlands/Ashlands, rare in the UC.]
Tools, skeleton bits, and building materials.

Tech Hunter Cache: [Common near ruins, rare in civilized areas (except HN).]
Books, mostly burned, occasionally an ancient science book.

Forgotten Treasure: [Very Rare find in UC territory.]
Pearlware, luxury goods, very very rarely a leviathan pearl, and a weapon of Catun grade or better (even Meitou, but again very very rarely).

Semi-Random crashes started to appear after I upgraded my mods collection in line with MEGA Kaizo/Vanilla+ Modpack (2025) modpack mod structure (and added a bunch new/perfomance mods).
The problem is in this mod.

Sad but expected, then one have 400+ mods.
Just leave it here if someone else will experience this.

A small benign bug: Yellow quality weapons will be generated infinitely, as long as you repeatedly save and load:lunar2019laughingpig:

@crowstilskin They can spawn fairly far away, almost on the other side of the region sometimes, helps to press alt periodically to check if any items are lying around.

I haven't actually found one after many hours, but I always get messages of them being wiped out when I enter the region they're in. I'm not sure if its a compatibility issue.

@Bonethorn I haven't noticed this issue, at least with the huge amount of mods I use. At least, not in severity. Personally, I think the mod is pretty balanced and I still encounter both regular camps (bandit, slaver, etc) and abandoned camps

i am endorsing this mod but with a caveat, not sure if it is true but it feels like bandit camps are being replaced with abandoned camps at an alarming rate, to the point were finding bandits to train on is difficult.

I love the randomness in Kenshi, because adventures are always exciting. Cheers to your mods!

Thanks for the quick response! I'll be using your mod from now on! Cheers!

@Velociraptus They use the same spawn mechanics as the animal nests and bandit camps. Think of them like bandit camps that don't spawn bandits.

> Yes, they spawn randomly almost anywhere
> Yes, new ones will spawn
> They will spawn over time regardless of if you've looted old ones
> They will disappear over time regardless of if you've looted them

I got some questions if you got the time (English is not my mother tongue, so I'm just making sure).

> These treasures spawn randomly on the world?
> Do new ones spawn or is it a fixed starting number and that's it?
> If new ones do spawn, it happens periodically or only after old ones have been looted?
> The sites/nests disappear after being looted or they remain forever?

Sorry if these are obvious or bothersome in any way! Regardless, it does seem to be a great mod. Cheers :)
