@|Nick @Jakob Slovenia, especially the northern regions, was pretty heavily influenced by Austria during its time under the Austrian Empire, not to mention it had its time in the HRE for a while before then, In-fact it had essentially been under German control since the 14th century, only gaining independence since then following the end of the first world war. If you look today, Slovenia has predominantly Austrian traditional architecture (combined with some italian. and again most notably in the north), not to mention Slovenia had a large Austrian population, with even a somewhat majority in the deep north of Slovenia. The effects Austria had on Slovenian culture stands out quite a bit still to this day and it would've made a fairly easy claim for German homeland by nationalist or pan-cultural movements back in the day.

It's because both the Czechs (or Bohemians, rather) and Slovenians were part of the HRE (first German empire) for centuries longer than the Hungarians, for example. And since the Germans were pretty big on revanchism, that's why they considered it their own.

@|Nick It is part of the idea of "Greater Germany", But I also think it doesn't really make sense. Also unless they add a Sudetenland state, having ALL of Czechia be a german homeland also doesn't really make sense.

I never understood why slovenia is a german homeland. At least in the game there arent living that much germans.
