Description
Original score from 'The King', where we see the young Henry V of England learn what it means to be a king.

When I watched this movie, I thought that the music would sound awesome in my own medieval alternate universe, so I made this mod for myself. Now someone else can enjoy it too!

Ironman and Achievement Compatible.

Adds 15 tracks from the film.

1.13 Update: Can see tracks in the music player

Yes, many tracks have subtle and silent beginnings that crescendo towards the end, lol. However, I can look into trying to balance it a bit more

Love that someone made this! The songs fit really well! I have a small problem hearing them compared to other music in the game but I think that's more of a symptom of the music itself. The beginning of the tracks are very very low, but once you get to the louder parts it's good. I think the range of the songs is the real issue, adjusting everything louder would fix the early parts but the high points on the songs would be way too loud and vice~versa.

Is there a way to bring the range of the low points and high points closer together? That would be my suggestion if it's something you can do. Either way thanks again for bringing this to ck3!

I'm not sure, I hear music on my end. Load order shouldn't matter for this mod

Why can't I hear the music playing? Even if the loading order is placed at the bottom

No problem, I'm learning as I go and the feedback is helpful! I'm surprised it's so quiet on your end since my volume seemed balanced, but I don't mind checking again.

And 100%, the Mary Queen of Scots album is beautiful. I don't know exactly when/if I'll have the time to add more tracks, but I absolutely recommend trying to make a music mod. It's not TOO bad. Just watch out: volume can be hard to balance (from experience).

Mate, thank you for taking a look at that so quickly, but--and I feel like you're going to hate me--it's too quiet now! I'm so sorry, man! It's just, now, noticeably quieter than the vanilla music. Almost as equidistant from equalised as it was when it was too loud.

My thoughts are that it needs to be between what you had before, and what you have now.

Of course, this is just to my ear. It would be great to hear from others using this mod what they think of the volume levelling.

Thanks again, Nemo. Hope this is taken in the constructive spirit it is intended :)

Oh, and if you don't do a music mod for Mary Queen of Scots (you can't tell me it's not beautiful!), I think I'll give it a crack as my first mod. I looked at the files for what you have done here, and also what old mate did for the KC:D music, and it all seems pretty straightforward. Famous last words, but I'll take a shot when I get the time if you don't intend to :)

Cheers!

Sure, I'll take a look at the volume levels!

And I'll give that a listen, thanks for the recommendation

Ah, thanks for this! The King had a great score.

I think the volume levelling is a bit off. The tracks from your mod always come in a bit too loud, and I'm always turning the volume down and back up again. Any chance you could take a look?

Might I also suggest the score from Mary Queen of Scots? Max Richter is a wonderful composer and it would fit well with your mod.

Thanks again :)

This movie is good, but totally historically inaccurate. I cannot remember the score though!
