正定开元寺-须弥塔,Zhengding Kaiyuan Temple - Xumi Pagoda

正定开元寺位于石家庄正定历史文化街区西侧，原名净观寺，始建于公元540年（东魏兴和二年），公元591年（隋开皇十年）改名解慧寺。公元738年（唐开元二十六年）奉诏改名。至清后期，因年久失修，寺院废毁，殿堂塌落，仅存钟楼和须弥塔。
关于须弥塔建造时代，地方志记载不详，未足凭信。根据现存实物并结合历史记载推断，须弥塔可能始建于公元636年（唐贞观十年），公元898年（唐乾宁五年）重建。后虽经历代维修但依然保持唐代建筑特点。

Located in the west of the Zhengding historical and cultural block in Shijiazhuang, the Kaiyuan Temple in Zhengding, formerly known as Jingguan Temple, was built in 540 AD (the second year of Xinghe in the Eastern Wei Dynasty) and renamed Jiehui Temple in 591 AD (the tenth year of Kaihuang in the Sui Dynasty). In 738 AD (the 26th year of the Kaiyuan era of the Tang Dynasty), it was ordered to change its name. In the late Qing Dynasty, due to its disrepair, the temple was destroyed and the hall collapsed, leaving only the Bell Tower and the Xumi Tower.
As for the construction time of Xumi Pagoda, the local chronicle records are not detailed, which is not enough to rely on. According to the existing objects and historical records, the Xumi Pagoda may have been built in 636 AD (the tenth year of Zhenguan in the Tang Dynasty) and rebuilt in 898 AD (the fifth year of Qianning in the Tang Dynasty). After that, it still maintained the architectural characteristics of the Tang Dynasty, although it underwent the maintenance.
