Description
What is this ?
This mod is based on the Missile Silo from Galactic Allegiance
This mod adds both the Silo and a single-missile, 1 crew, Torpedo Tube.

The Missile Silo & Torpedo Tube can only load and launch HE Missiles.
The silo can load and launch 3 at once, the tube can only take 1

Credits
This mod currently contains some shared art assets from Galactic Allegiance , used with permission from UltraNova. The assets used were in turn mostly based on base game art.

Differences ?
  • These missile weapons can be placed internally, and will not collide with other deck-based weaponry, I cannot say the same of the GA part with the same name.
  • These have unique roof art that lights up as the ammo is loaded, and the stats might be different to that of GA, but should be the 'same' as base game HE Missiles.
  • Parts are listed for use in Build and Battle pvp mode and can be unlocked.
    Currently has issues not giving HE Missile resource and "duplicated" toggle options.
    Until these are resolved part cannot be used in pvp Build and Battle mode :(
This mod should not cause any conflicts with GA.

a 2x1 wouldn't really be balanced.. that's a super small component to be packing so much firepower.

I'll add it to the considerations list.

I have no issues with that as long as credit and links are given.
BUT, this mod itself was a "port" out of Galactic Allegiance and you should really check there if permission to use the assets is given :)

I'd love to modify this for my own mod that I've been working on since classic. I want to add function for nukes and EMP missiles, yes this would be kinda OP but I'm all about that.

I would love to.. but I'm not even sure how the DIGI's mod *works*.. like it's all magic to me with the buffs etc.

I love that mod and use it myself, but I'm not sure how it would 'fit' into the tube style, or how to do the sprite-work. Like the standard 4 missile parts here stack "upwards" to fire out from the roof, how do I add extra layers into that sprite-animation based on received buffs? Where do you even 'extend' the imagined vertical tube?

I'm confident that someone will figure out the answer to these questions.. I just don't think it will be me :) .. sorry

That sounds cool, but would take a lot of sprites/animation to get an open/extending close/retracting weapon .. and it would be purely visual

Maybe someone will make that one-day.

i do love those tubes, they add a whole new level of perfection to my expanse fleet, especially the rocinante looks awesome now.

With the way the hatches open and close, is there a way to make the guns retract? like having an animation just like your torpedo hatches that activates, as soon as you enter combat and triggers the retract sequence when you exit combat again?
I would try to come up with something like that myself but its way out of my league to write a mod like this right now.
If you think this is a viable idea for a mod i would love to subscribe to it one day :D
