Description

A series of rotary cannons, fitting the 120mm and 250mm cannons into a supersized Defender-like rotary body.

Contains 3 weapon mounts:

X Mk201 'Whirlpool' Cannon, a Class 4 rotary cannon firing 120mm shells
X Mk202 'Modon' Cannon, a Class 5 dual rotary cannon firing 120mm shells
X Mk204 'Maelstrom' Cannon, a Class 5 rotary cannon firing 250mm shells

Current version: 0.5.2

Change Log

- 0.5.2: Update asset bundle to LZ4 compression -- larger file but faster load
- 0.5.1: Update to game version 0.3.1
- 0.5: Add faction key Stock/Alliance, fix turret turning audio source

The models are upscaled versions of the defender model, with the barrels replaced with equivalent sized barrels for 120mm and 250mm cannons. I agree the guns should probably be less tall, though -- and maybe done by someone with more 3d modeling experience.

Not a bad mod at all but the models need work. The size of the class 4 guns is ridiculous.

@Lobsterperson Not a bad idea -- but I'd like to flavor it in a way that fits the OSP better than a rotary cannon, and maybe in a separate mod. I will see what I can come up with.

I read it as a suggestion :)

Implementing that would be a bit hard; if I ever create mod weapons that cause a kickback (or if someone makes it easy to add it) I might go back and do the math to figure out if this would cause a kickback, then add it. But not happening in the short term, sadly.
