Enhanced Zoom Reboot

Description
THIS MOD IS NOW DEPRECATED
There are better mods that do this so I am canning the mod, there will be no further updates.

A simple mod that allows you to zoom in closer to the action.

See your holdings up close to see your corrupt mayors fleecing the populace, except you have to imagine that because there are no NPCs inhabiting the holdings, so get your RP hat on, use your imagination!

See your units up close and personal fumbling their swords in open battle with the enemy. Watch your allies run around aimlessly like the headless chickens they are, observe in bewildered rage as they sit around in a camp fire in a neighbouring neutral county while your army gets smashed by a coordinated AI army hell bent on well smashing you of course.

About
I decided to reboot Enhanced Zoom originally developed by @Xangelo7 because I found other zoom utilities that I intended to move on to mess with the map and/or other things, which is a problem for things like War Maps and I have no intention of losing that mod or having to write a compatch for it when this utility has always done exactly what I want i.e. it adjusts the zoom and nothing else.
So it is now updated for 1.7.* and will be maintained by me moving forward.

Compatibility
Ironman = yes

This mod does not alter maps in any way so should be compatible with most other mods that do not change the vanilla 00_graphics.txt defines file. At the moment I am not aware of any that do but may provide compatibility patches for major mods if there are any clashes.

@Lost Nomad - no worries thanks all the same - will probably look for a way to remove the lowest zoom level off entirely - will hopefully return with good news!

I am no expert at mapping or the map hud and I could barely do anything with zooming after the last update so I doubt I'd be able to solve that issue.

afaik the zoom level does not have a limiter based on the height map, so it's either set it to whatever the highest point is, i.e. top of the highest mountain, or go lower and clip through the higher terrain. Personally I wanted the zoom level to go as low as possible, so I live with it and zoom out slightly if it becomes an issue.

Is there some way to stop the zoom going through mountains and hills? Something slightly less intense?

Took me a moment to work out what you meant.

The pan was fine it was the tilt that was broken.

It'll likely be a couple of days before this mod is updated to Legends.

This mod doesnt has a minor issue when you zoom out of the map completely to the pan to the table view in 1.12. It zooms out straught up instead of panning. No big deal just want ti report. Thanks for your work

Oh the TODO Reminder mod is ideal for you then.

Just like you I can be away from the game for a few days, and also tend to swap games between a European and Asian campaigns to break things up, so the TODOs help me keep track of everything.

Give it a try, it's really very useful :steamthumbsup:

It is all good. Thanks for the mods and hard work.

I might try your Todo Reminder mod. My play-through's tend to be days apart and I forget things I wanted to do.

@Royal Raven
Glad you like the mod :steamthumbsup:

For some odd reason steam has reverted the version number on a few of my mods which I need to update but didn't have the time to do so until now.

Weird though because I can't see any reason for it, and nothing else in the mods has been changed, not even the application internal version number in the descriptor, just the CK3 version, and not all mods, just a few random ones.

Thanks for this mod. I was using better camera zoom, wanted to try something simple with just zoom, like you said for mod compatibility. Plus you seem to update and maintain your mod more.

For some reason, my PDX launcher warns me that this mod is 1.9, even though you updated to Quill 1.10.0. I ignore those warnings anyways, but found that one a little odd.

Anyways, thanks!
