A Primordial World

Description
Realms of Shadows beset by Light. View relationships of legendary kings and immortal gods
------

I'm using my interests in historical or legendary geneology and the theme on mythology that my fantasy world exists in to make this. It is NOT going to be 100% historical, what with the gods, elves, and vampires and neither will it be 100% faithful to the myths and history since a few things (Achlys and Ymir being the parents of Tartarus and Audumbla respectively and Poseidon being Freyr and Freyja's father) are Original Content to my mod.
------
The thing I built this mod around at first was Khaos, the primordial Void of greek mythology that has similar variants in most, if not every other mythology as well. She is the personification of the emptiness that preceded creation and which will outlast even the final god to die. Most of the characters I add in this mod will eventually descend from her

--Traits--
There are various traits i've added in this mod that make characters that possess it immortal and lengthen the amount of years they may live, which may seem redundant being that they're immortal but I couldn't make them look young without increasing life expectancy of all characters with the traits. If I end up adding god(esse)s of old age, i'll have to make special traits for them

---Paidiathedia <<Children of Zeus>> and Atlantides (Descendants of Atlantean Kings)--
I added descendants of Zeus from Aphrodite down to Emperor Augustus of Rome. I also added Augustus' ancestry from Poseidon, who I conflated with Njordr and made Freyr and Freyja his children with his half-sister, Njorun/Nerthus. Because of Freyr not being a descendant of Odin, I used liberty in making Fjolnir Yngvasson's mother, Freyr's close descendant. I gave Constantine the Great of Rome ancestry to the Julio-Claudians. As mentioned above, Caligula is a vampire and a descendant of the Julio Claudians. This is based on the obscure myth that Caligula ghost remained behind after his death and haunted the capitoline gardens in Rome. I believe i've also seen the name Caligula as Dracula's vamp-sire in more than one vampire fiction, which is interesting though the only one I can recall at this moment is Dracula Untold. Though I digress. Anyway, I gave him a unique DNA and made him the friend of Ragnar Lodbrok's daughter, Astrid who is a vampire in my headcanon. See below for more on her

---Ynglings and Skjoldungs---
I fixed the ancestry of Ragnar Lodbrok and Harald Fairhair (Ragnar had Olaf Tree-Hewer, son of Ingjald Ilrade, son of Anund the Land-Clearer in his ancestry when those were ancestors of Fairhair's father instead) to more closely match the sagas and also made Ragnar one of Fairhair's ancestors, through his mother, Ragnhild, her father, Sigurd (Hart), his mother, Aslaug, and her father Sigurd Snake-Eye. This is based on the myth in the Skarðsárbók-version of Landnámabók. I also made Ubbe Ragnarsson the father of Hastein of Montaigu which is different from them being brothers like some writers claimed. I did this because I didn't want to clutter Ragnar's list of sons too much but I did want them to be related according to the myths that he was a son of ragnar, but I just made him his grandson instead ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I connected Ragnar to the Ynglings tree through his ancestor Sigurd 'Skira' Ingvarsson, who's son was Radbardr, father of Randver, father of Sigurd Hring, father of Ragnar Lodbrok. Randver's mother was Audr the Deep-Minded, Princess of Denmark who does exist in vanilla but doesn't possess the nickname. Based off of a few sources that are likely apocryphal in nature, I made her a descendant of Constantine the Great. Also, as an elf, Ragnarr is immortal and many of his ancestors, if they're dead, died at inhuman years under their belts. This is meant to allude to their elven nature. As for the rest of the Ynglings, a few of them have added death reasons that relate somewhat to the way they died in the myths but a bit differently since the game is set in a realistic world and I can only do so much in the code, being a noob.

---I added one of Ragnarr's daughters, Astrid, based partly on his daughter, Alof from Landnamabok saga but her mother is Thora (Town-Hart). Astrid has a unique DNA and is a vampire sired by Caligula, in my headcanon and the two are friends to signify the seductive power every vamp-sire has over their childer.---

I removed Bjorn Ironside's death and made him an immortal as well

---Asians and the Mongols---
I added a line between Genghis Khan's oldest vanilla ancestor and Namri Songtsen, a tibetan king that exists in vanilla. This is based on a fiction scribed by Guush Luvsandanzan, a mongolian historian and writer. Unfortunately, Borte Chino's ancestry is unknown but I needed that connection to add the foundation of Genghis Khan's ancestry from Chinese gods that I still haven't added. I've also changed little of Namri Songtsen's ancestry, only changing the lifedates of some of his ancestors to make them more accurate to what we know of them. I also traced an apocryphal line from Genghis Khan to Basarab I of Wallachia, who exists in vanilla

---Vampires---
Ik I already mentioned Caligula and Astrid Ragnarsdottir so i'll keep this brief. I also gave the vampire trait to Burudukan of Alania (Tamar of Georgia's mother in 1178 start date) and Eirene of Athens, mother of Emperor Constantine VI of Rome. Find them by searching their names in the character finder soon after game start. I also added Vlad the Impaler as a descendant of Basarab I. Dracula was born just a handful of years before the game ends in 1453 so be sure to set the game to continue running after that date if you want to play as him for long

---Other--
Since I added Dracula, I had to add Mehmed the Grea. I also wanted to add Constantine XI as well but i'm having trouble with the constantinople titles since they don't seem to exist in the files. I may just have to skip adding him unfortunately

I gave the elf trait to Matilda di Canossa, from her bloodline of the Counts/Dukes of Spoleto, which means Broken Rock in latin. I thought that sounded fairly druidic/elvish, so I made it part of my headcanon

I made a custom dynasty and Coat of Arms for Khaos' dynasty. I got the name for it from a word meaning darkness in greek since Khaos is based on the greek concept of the void and what is void but darkness? Her dynasty has a custom motto as well. Search for Ymir or Achlys and see their mother to find Khaos

Since I am not good at organization, there may be a few other things I haven't mentioned so please don't be too hard on me! This is my first mod and i'm happy with where it is as a foundation but it is nowhere close to being complete

---Future Plans and/or hopeful changes---
Please see post in discussions so I don't end up clogging the description with descriptions of stuff that aren't even in this mod

@starfarts There are a few bugs in this I need to fix, yes. I've been using CK3 Tiger mod to squash bugs for a bit but sometimes I miss them

Yeah sorry I didn't explain that super well. I mean it transformed the regional innovations into looking like this [imgur.com], and then also the houses with the mod into looking like this [imgur.com]. Only with this mod enabled. Again it's not really a big deal and it won't make me uninstall, it's just strange.

@starfarts i don't think so, as i haven't added any events into this

I like this a LOT, very well done. However, I do have one issue: everything associated with the mod is like "butt_sniff_fart_event" and so on, and it's also transformed the regional section of culture into the same. Everything works though, so I'm ignoring it best I can.

Do you think that's something to do with this mod? No surprise if it isn't, since I'm running ~130, but it did start when I enabled this one.

@kceeri i've already added several traits though they don't have any gfx so they might appear off from other traits. Idk about legacies, aren't those part of dynasties?
kceeri Jan 13 @ 3:05am
are there plans to add traits, legacies or anything besides dynasties?

@Renown That's weird, it shouldn't affect start dates at all
Renown Jan 1 @ 4:32pm
Doesn't play nicely with my load out unfortunately. Starts the game in some insanely early bce timeline.
Renown Jan 1 @ 4:04pm
Are these traits congenital? Do they make characters immortal, etc, do vampires have children?

I guess i'll try it right now to see if it works with my modlist and to find out what is in it.

@Renown This should be compatible with most other mods, as depending on whether they modify history/character files, it overwrites several files in there (Since I need to add onto the family history of some of the game's existing dynasties to show the legendary history. I'm a noob so it doesn't have any events or decisions though several traits do exist in this mod
