Description
Temperate | 1:1 Scale | Realistic | Mods Required

The brief for this map was to create a 1:1 scale map of the beautiful Avon Valley in the UK. As with most of my maps, I strive for creating realistic aesthetics using workshop assets and mods, meaning the map is envisaged for modders and detailers.

The start square is centred on the City of Bath, which is the largest city in the county of Somerset, England, known for and named after its Roman-built baths. The city became a World Heritage Site in 1987, and was later added to the transnational World Heritage Site known as the "Great Spa Towns of Europe" in 2021. The city became a spa with the Latin name Aquae Sulis ("the waters of Sulis") c. 60 AD when the Romans built baths and a temple in the valley of the River Avon, although hot springs were known even before then. Many of the streets and squares were laid out by John Wood, the Elder, and in the 18th century the city became fashionable and the population grew. Attractions include the spas, canal boat tours, Royal Crescent, Bath Skyline, Parade Gardens and Royal Victoria Park.

Instructions
  1. Subscribe to all assets and mods within linked ‘Avon Valley One-Click Collection’.
  2. Start Cities Skylines, enter Content Manager to activate any new mods.
  3. Ensure your 'Tree Anarchy' settings enable at least 500,000 trees on load otherwise your map will be broken.
  4. Make sure that Prop & Tree Anarchy is set to ‘Anarchy is Always On’ when first loading the map or you will have missing props.
  5. Map is now ready for playing.
  6. Select 'Left Hand Drive'.

Map Stats
  • Highway Connections - Four (UK Road Project Motorways are used, there are no motorways IRL, remove motorway props using BOB)
  • Rail Connections - Six (with historic rail lines and former Green Park railway station reinstated)
  • Shipping Connections - Zero
  • Air Connections - Four
  • Inland Waterway - One (non functioning)
  • Buildable Space - 90%
If you encounter errors please check the discussions for advice on how to fix them
This map is incompatible with Prop Anarchy and EML (I don't know why).
Please note that the Narrowboat error on load will not break your game.

I'd welcome your feedback and questions via the comments below.

This map was made with Tree Anarchy, so that mod is required. It may be possible to use Tree Control, follow the steps recommended in that mod description about converting Tree Anarchy files. DO NOT use Prop Anarchy and EML with this map, as that is a known incompatibility.

I don't think all the trees are spawning with Tree Control
