CK3 now has an option to disable this, finally. Settings menu, game options. Keeping this mod around so current users can see the change.

Disables dynastic names appearing on the map as the names of titles. This makes the Umayyad Sultanate instead appear with its "real name" of the Sultanate of Andalusia.

CK2 had a game rule to do this, but I guess paradox thought it wasn't important enough to put in CK3.

This modifies the main titles file, so it will conflict with other title mods and will likely need frequent updates, which I'll try to do quickly (I wrote an ANTLR parser for the titles file so generating the update should be very fast at least, just will have to do it after every time paradox makes any changes to the file). Hopefully paradox implements a game rule for this eventually.

It's in the game settings, something about dynasty and CoA flavorization. I look into it when I play the game again.

I didn't meant caliphats ^^' it was just the only example I had in mind.
I was speaking of dynamic COA in clan government (Or maybe some cultures ?) that take the Dynasty COA instead of the empire title

@Maxime7077 I can take a look at that but I think caliphates are intended to work that way since they can be destroyed and re-founded

Do you think it could be also possible for title banners ? Like, Abassid caliphat doesn't take abbasid house flag, but the arabic one, because after some years of gameplay, there are too many branch house who are giving their hideous quartered flags who don't disappear after conquest. (I mean it could also work if it was dynastic head only, but that would be much harder if it was even possible.)

omg this mod helps so much. I hate the dynastic kingdom title naming ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This helps me so much with my current Zoroastrian Iran Persia playthrough. :)

No problem, I hope this mod eventually becomes obsolete because they put an option in the game to do this! So dumb that it's not there already.
