Hogwarts Express (Harry Potter)

As a New Year special, here is a recreation of the Hogwarts Express from the Harry Potter series of films. The composition of this rake is specifically from The Half-Blood Prince of 2009. The locomotives and coaches are all available from 1997 when the first book was published.

Special thanks are due to JK who kindly let me dissect and reassemble his GWR Castle class mod into a format which was easier for me to work with.

Before anyone mentions it in the comments, I am fully aware that No. 5972 'Hogwarts Castle' is a Hall class with a Castle class name. However, as no GWR Hall class locomotive mod exists, the next best thing was to use an actual Castle class in its place.

Whilst the Mk 1 coaches belonging to West Coast Railways used for filming were painted in BR maroon, I have amended the colour slightly to match the locomotive properly; the correct numbers have been applied to all coaches.

The lining on the locomotive has been changed to the gold/black of the maroon coach colour scheme as, with a reasonable degree of artistic licence, I decided that they should both match and that the orange/black GWR-style lining was not particularly noticeable on a red engine.

The set comprises:

BSK - No.99723 Brake Second Corridor Coach
SK - No.99716 Second Corridor Coach
SO - No.99317 Second Open Coach
SK - No.99721 Second Corridor Coach
BSK - No.99312 Brake Second Corridor Coach

The models and other materials are all the intellectual property of JK and PlaneSimple; I am responsible for the textures.

@legenyd - Thank you for solving your own problem! I have the Vehicle Asset Builder mod but don't have it in use on many savegames. At least now there is a solution for people who experience the lack of tender.

Sorry, I was mistaken. I tried again and it worked for me with a clean game. However I was extrapolating the tons of mods installed and found the faulty one: the tender sides go missing when the "vehicle asset builder" mod is installed. Deactivating it solved the problem.

I also have the missing sides of the tender only. I also have all the necessary mods active. However this effect happens also with the train storage mod from transportfever dot net , I think it is some shader issue. I tried loading only the Hogwarts express mod on a blank map, same issue exists.

@Fo6DD & berndthebread - I have not been able to reproduce the effects you describe below, with and without my Pendennis Castle mod loaded as well. Even varying the loading order with JK's mod placing AFTER those which require it as a dependency produced no visual abnormalities.

This has been tested on a large-scale map with 420+ mods (the screenshot map), a small-scale test map with about 70 mods and a blank map with these as the only mods loaded. If there is a conflict with another mod, it may well be one that I don't use or have not yet experienced.

These are the only two instances where such visual errors have been reported; I presume the other 867 subscribers have not encountered any issues.

I too have the same problem regarding the missing sides etc of the tender only. I have all the relevant sub-mods active, is there a specific load order that's required to correct this conflict/error?

Hmm... not heard that before. You obviously have JK's original Star/Castle mod installed I presume as it's in the list of required files.

This was a difficult job as it used the old group system of materials/textures and I had to convert this to the current system. I'll look and see if anything has been omitted, but as you can see it works in the screenshots.

the repaint of the locomotive is for me mssing the walls of the tender. the bogies, floor and the coal is visible but the outer walls are missing. the locomotives in the orignial mod are displazed correctly. any ideas why this is happening?
