CIMFreight Elevated Rail & Docks
13 items
Description
CIMFreight Cargo Harbour.

To be used alongside my series of Elevated Cargo stations and similar industry assets.

Add as many cargo train lines as required by using the following asset pack:

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2469751677

You could even do a direct transfer to inland waterways by placing it next to the matching dock

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2494344473

All these assets use the same texture files & props. The loading screen mod will reduce the load on your system.

Anarchy mods recommended to help place the assets close to each other.

Love this asset but still having issues placing it on the right height, no matter what I try the harbour’s road is always lower than then the freight train ones… did anybody find a solution?

I built this exactly as done in the video. No trains would come. Ships and trucks, yes. No trains. The basic cargo station had trains stacked up trying to get to it. None now. I then tried something else. I made 4 harbors and attached an elevated train term to each as described along a busy coast. Same thing. Lots of ships at all 4 terms, lots of trucks, no trains on any of the 4.
Any thoughts?

Hi there. I love your assets, and have been using them for some time. I just started to use the Cargo harbor asset, and if I place a RR Cargo asset next to it I get no trains. Any thoughts?

My buildings were at different heights. Moving the building up just made the roads go to different heights.

What worked for me is MoveIt's 'Reset Objects' tool. Click the triangle icon, then select the three dots icon, then select 'Reset Objects'

@Anderssn. Make sure that the water is fully settled before trying to place the assets down. Any water on the surface will make the roads jump up.

@Uncle Fester. The video is now complete and uploaded above.

The road that passes through the building is not at the same height level, it is higher up on one side that the other. This makes it hard to make a flat harbor without the road either sinking or sticking out on either side of the harbor.

Don't worry I haven't forgot about the video. I'm having to get my city functional again after the airports DLC altered the balance before I can make a video.

@squirrelarmyuk

I've got Move-It, road anarchy, fine road tools, etc, etc., but I guess I'm just lost. Even just placing the elevated stations (well away from the shoreline) doesn't work right for me.

Holding my breathe for the video!

@uncle fester.

You definitely need Move it and anarchy mods to get it looking right. The game does have strange behaviour when placing waterside assets. Place the inner sections first then extend the roads out about 3u before placing the dock assets. You want the docks to snap to the road rather than the land.

I'm going to produce a video soon showing how I got the result shown in my screenshots. It does take a little bit of effort to get it looking right.

I'm desperate to use this lovely asset, but I'm having a terrible time placing it. Every time I place it, on a shoreline, attached to a quay, whatever, it always places "high". See this image:

I have a similar problem with both of the standalone elevated rail buildings, except they place low!

I'm comparing this "high" and "low" to what looks "correct" on the multi-section "Elevated Terminal", as shown here:

This makes it impossible get all three (including the barge dock) lined up neatly.
