Arthuruins: Saxon and Pictish People Parts

In 1 collection by The Gilded Magpie
Magpie and Calico's Wildermyth Visuals
26 items
Description
Eight new hairs (plus accessory variations) and seven new heads to mix into your heroes' and townfolks' looks!

Hairs are based on reconstructions of fifth- and sixth-century Byzantine, Gallic, and Merovingian styles. Any accessories will draw on your primary and/or secondary colors, except the one with the brow amulet and braids -- that metalwork stays silver.

The heads include my attempt at Pictish facial tattoos (one male, one female), an unnaturally gaunt face for your villainous ghouls (one male, one female), a plump double-chinned face (one male, one female), and -- as a bonus -- the prominent-cleft-chinned male head I drew when I was amusing myself by making a Wildermyth version of Frances Nero as Lancelot in the terrible Camelot musical.

"'Arthuruins'? WTH are you talking about, Magpie?"

I'm on a bit of an Arthuriana kick lately, and naturally, my mind turned to how I might incorporate some of those motifs into Wildermyth visuals. Obviously the Yondering lands don't have the political setup for any great just kings to be wandering around now ... but its ancient past certainly includes queens and castles, so why not bundle a bit of that into its archaeology?

Hence, Arthuruins: scraps of material culture that might have survived if you transplanted the setting of the Arthurian legends into the era of Wildermyth's canonical ancient civilizations. There will be at least one more mod in this collection (a set of half a dozen shields), and maybe more. I'm open to suggestions!

this is cool. the lack of tattoos in this game is flabbergasting.

@JayViperTV Yep! Some more dramatic profiles seemed apt for a mythic setting, so there are double-chinned and very gaunt-cheeked heads.

I like the hair and the Saxon tattooed faces but am confused by the double chin heads. Are those from this pack?

Excellent, I was needing more heads to keep my characters unique.
