Ever wondering why a large religion group gives the same amount of bonus as one little eastern religion?

Changes:
  • Eastern religions now have decisions to fill 75% harmonizing progress, making the total harmonization time of Eastern group equals to other Religion groups.

  • Bonuses from harmonized religion groups are now way better.(Jewish and Zoroastrian unchanged)

  • Changed harmony yearly growth from 1 to 4
    (harmony decrease during harmonization changed from -3 to -4).
  • Harmony gain from religious unity remains unchanged.
  • Harmony gain from positive stability doubled. (0.25 yearly -> 0.5 yearly)

  • Changed harmonization speed per year from 3% to 4%

  • the harmonizing progress will be like:
    25 years to harmonize a group
    basic cost 75 harmony
    takes 15 years to recover at 0 stability.
    The cost can be further reduced by the decision below.

  • Decision to boost harmonizing speed by 25% and +1 yearly harmony for 10 years by 150 adm points.

  • Changed effects from harmony value.

    • Effects at 100 harmony:
      Unrest -2
      Institution spread from true faith province +10%
      Yearly legitimacy +1 / Yearly meritocracy +2

    • Effect at 50 harmony: None

    • Effects at 0 harmony:
      Tolerance of heretic -3
      Tolerance of heathen -3
      Development cost +25%
      Yearly legitimacy -1 / Yearly meritocracy -2
      Monthly Mandate -0.5
  • Changed harmony loss per development converted from 1 to 0.1.

  • Shinto harmonize buff changed: 10% infantry combat ability -> 5% discipline
  • Christan harmonize buff partially changed: 5% discipline -> 15% artillery damage from back row

@Raegorn Thx for the idea. The mod you mentioned is about converting other religions into confucianism so use missionaries & strength is quite reasonable. But this mod is about tolerating other religions, plus there weren't missionaries in confucianism countries historically so I think it's better to maintain what it is currently.

Hi! Small idea here, there is a mod that makes missionaries and missionary strength give bonuses to harmony and harmonization. Maybe instead of increasing them like you did, implement that from the other mod so missionaries are useful?

update: no longer overwrite defines.lua, this mod should be having way better compatibility now.

@Salam4nder99 Since this mod have changed lines in vanilla files like defines.lua, I'm afraid it's quite impossible to strip it down. But there's still a way to fix compatibility problems manually, If you have some modding experience. You can search for keywords confucian and harmon(-y, -ize, -zation) in the 3 vanilla files(defines.lua, 00_event_modifiers.txt and 00_static_modifiers.txt) I've modded in this mod, and copy them to the files from the mod with compatibility problem.
If you found a certain mod having compatibility problem with this one, you can also tell me the name of it, I can try to make a patch to solve, but it might require permission from the creator.

Really like the mod but would it be possible to have everything like event modifiers and defines file stripped down to just what you have changed for the mod. It'd really help with things like compatibility with other mods and when modifiers are updated in the base game.
