Remote Airfields

Description
This mod adds remote (of map) airfields.
A radio beacon will show on your map, this can be a buoy or a small radar/radio building, respectively for use on water or land.
You can select the distance you want the airfield to be at, distances from 10km up to 12000km are available.
For distances above 2000km only large air planes can be used. Aircraft will fly of the map to disappear from your view completely.
Of course the further away the airfield is the longer the travel time will be, so planes may be gone for hours. Fox example sending a Concorde on a 12000km journey will take it about 15 hours to make the return flight.
The airfields have just 1 terminal and no taxiways, hence only one air plane can be on the 'ground', other planes will (beyond your map sight) circle until they can land.
If you wonder where the runway is located; Look at the seagull sitting on the beacon, it's always looking in the direction your airfield is at or use the 'Assistant'.

This mod is mainly intended for 'Schönbau' / diorama builds. Sims aren't willing to travel great distances, distant airfields will therefore not be able to generate traffic.

Remote passenger airport features include:
- Land or Water beacon, or Assistant dummy (click the item and change from/to assistent dummy whenever you need).
- Beacons have a red paint.
- Selectable distances: 10km, 20km, 50km, 100km, 500km, 1000km, 2000km, 5000km, 8000km or 12000km.
- Selectable capacity kind and volume Commercial/Industrial/Residential works for airfields upto 100km away.
- Collision is set to false to support placement in water, be aware that when place on land the game may place other buildings/trees/roads over it.

Remote cargo airport features include:
- Land or Water beacon, or Assistent dummy (click the item and change from/to assistent dummy whenever you need).
- Beacons have a yellow paint.
- Selectable distances: 10km, 20km, 50km, 100km, 500km, 1000km, 2000km, 5000km, 8000km or 12000km.
- Collision is set to false to support placement in water, be aware that when place on land the game may place other buildings/trees/roads over it.



The following rules are applicable for use of this model:
- Repaints that require the original mod can be published without restriction provided that the correct model data is adhered to, I do request you to inform me in advance of your intention to prevent duplicate developments
- Repaints that are 'stand-alone' need my approval. If a request is not answered for more than 6 months, cc-by-nc applies
- Ports to other games need my approval. If a request is not answered for more than 6 months, cc-by-nc applies
- Distribution of this mod on sites other than transportfever.net is not permitted, unless transportfever.net should go offline
- Contact me on transportfever.net for authorizations.

Would it be possible to add lower capacity volumes, such as 100, 250 etc for the passenger version please?

@fravaletto the mod doesn't change aircraft, possibly you see those speeds when planes are in approach or circling in the waiting patern before landing.

Some strange speed of planes when using this mod... 303 km/h for the Boeing 747 and 236 km/h for the Tu-154. Do planes really fly at such a low speed to a remote airfield or is that the speed at which they climb?

@LexiKatta, unfortunately the method won't work for ships, anything outside the map area is seen as not navigatable for ships by the game.

@RusselinDeineMa hmm, thanks for the feed-back. I doubt though this mod is the cause of what you experience, the mod has no scripting to change any of the game settings, it is really just an airfield. But will keep an eye if I see anything similar happen.
