There is 2 locations in the city for campuses, one near downtown & other up on the hill. There is space on the map that you could make an airport as well.

I was wondering before i start playing with the map, if you had left any space for the DLCs like Campus and Airports, I know your last comment was in 2021 so I hope you see this

Yeah, me too, lack of space for more tracks. I would build a second rail line that bypasses the city, not through it, to give trains 2 options to get to destinations. Another thing I do is make the downtown cargo train stations one direction, so they only feed from one side, not both sides of station.

I've played this map a few times, and end up having train traffic jams at 70k population. Industriy specialization is maxed, 70k population, cargo airport and all cargo train terminals turned on, optimised connectioins, rebalanced industries, etc. Once the train jam happens, I start getting No Goods notifications because of the backup, the industries start falling apart. I don't understand though because you have plenty of train tracks throughout the city. Road traffic hovers around 80% the whole game with 10-15% of the population on mass transit.

@jgoffe10 - thanks that actually worked

FuzzyPurp, I wondered the same thing. When I turned off the 81 tiles mod, the districts appeared on the map.

any reason why the marked disticts dont show on the map? they are like all the way grouped up into a corner

Optimised Outside Connections should do wonders, never used that mod. Rebalanced Industries I have. i'm trying this map, after completing a new Shady Strands again with the OOCs and using some of your zoning strategies. Thanks again!

I really like this layout as well, one of my most favorite cities. Yes, the trains do get bad due to limited space for extra train lines & not necessarily your RCO zoning. I highly recommend these 2 mods to help with train & industrial truck traffic:

1) Optimised Outside Connections
2) Rebalanced Industries

As for zoning, I zoned commercial & office by main train station, high residential just north of the main train station. Low residential on the south side of river towards the ocean with low commercial. High commercial & tourism around the stadium. High residential around the west high University campus area. Small circle-high commercial in centre & high residential surrounding. Big circle-high tech offices in centre, high commercial, low residential. Outer lower 1/4 circle-high residential & tourism by cruise ship port.
