Hello! First of all, thank you all again for playing Courtesan's Guild and for all of your feedback. It really helps make the mod better for everyone, and gives me targeted goals to work towards. That said, I hate the Steam comment / forum setup. I end up missing comments, and I can't tag people back for conversations. To solve this issue, I've started a Twitter account to handle the Courtesan's Guild and my other projects. - Changed the upkeep and build costs for the three normal Courtesan buildings. They cost 100/150/200 Influence, and require a paltry sum of influence to upkeep (0.1/0.1/0.2). Thank you for pointing this out, Zangi!

This mod provides a new Stellaris two new playstyles centered around the civics Courtesans' Guild and Fleshcutters' Guild.

The Courtesan Guild is a fact of life, and its talented members hold positions of power and influence throughout society.

The Fleshcutters are the tinkerers, the doctors, and the artists of the modern world. Only now, their canvases are our flesh, and we rejoice.

Unlock the power within your hybrid form, and become anyone you want to be.

/ Compatibility - - - \ \ \
This mod overwrites the Bio-Trophy citizenship type to include the Grove jobs from the Witch Wood. It is not compatible with any mod that also overwrites this citizenship type (Forgotten Hive Queens, etc.) Please note I have not done extensive testing. If something doesn’t work (or does), please let me know and I will compile a list.

/ Planned Updates - - - \ \ \
I stressed to get the Witch Wood Origin and the Courtesan Guild update out. It's a lot of work for one person, and I've steadily taken more and more responsibilities in my own life. I still plan to update the mod, but major updates are likely a thing of the past. My personal goals include minor updates and tweaks over the coming months; events, gameplay improvements, balancing, etc.

/ What Took So Long? - - - \ \ \
Work! Full time game design work leaves me less time for my hobbies than before, which is a plus and a minus. I had originally envisioned the Witch Wood would play with pop growth like the Clone Army origin, and I spent alot of time trying to force that gameplay loop. Alas, it didn't pan out. I hope this version is enjoyable!

/ Why Does Cybernetic Mastery Net Me Genetic Resequencing? - - - \ \ \
The ability to freely modify species is hard coded, and is only accessible via the Genetic Resequencing technology. I value the Cybernetic flavor (moddable hardware) more than I mind the incongruity.

Eh, realistically, with that on top of the stability/influence(early game) bonuses, is pretty decent.

The first level of the building is for some reason, free, so is kind of a no brainer to get.(may not be intentional)

Hey, Zangi, thanks for catching that! I went in and added different job descriptions, so there shouldn't be anymore regular empire vs mega corp confusion.

If you think the Trade Value (which I just buffed to 7 from 5) + amenities isn't strong / worthwhile, please let me know. I don't play Megacorps very often so input is very welcome here. Thanks!

So... I came here to complain that Courtesans don't give any unity despite what the tooltips are saying.
Then I looked into the job files and see that by intention, megacorps get trade value instead of unity.

@ImperialWill Hey, thank you for the welcome back and your earlier concern! :) I had a lot of burnout following crunch at my day job so I took a break. I apologize for the delay and I plan to add another guild and a balance update by around mid February!

I wonder if Socratespanda is alright... Has he even been on recently? If not, I'm likely to assume the worst and fear that they might be deceased. I hope not, I hope they're okay, but... Unless they make an appearance, there's no way to know.
