Absolute Emergencies

Description
Ever thought that the power of absolute crown authority was a little underwhelming?
Well no more!

This mod adds an ability to declare emergencies from the decisions tab, but only if you have absolute crown authority (and are an adult character). Reasoning is these emergencies drastically affect your subjects and forces them to provide resources, so they will only agree if they have no choice. Also a child does not have the experience to pull off the logistical nightmare of an emergency. Stress also plays a part since an emergency is stressful in itself.

You also cannot declare more than one emergency every 10 years, so use them wisely.

Current emergencies in the mod:
- Military, raise a bigger army through questionable methods...
- Economic, focus all your efforts on developing your realm's infrastructure

Affected counties are any in your domain and also all vassals below you.

I do plan on adding more emergencies so if you have suggestions feel free to discuss!

The next emergency I'm planning on adding will be ???. (a surprise, or maybe I have no clue)

Also please give feedback on how balanced you think this is.

Todo:
- Allow AI to declare emergencies? It may annoy players so maybe not...
- Research on how to shorten the list of affected counties (it gets quite big the bigger you are)
- Create an entire new UI interface so that the emergencies don't eventually end up cluttering the decisions menu
- Solve the issue of a liege abusing the military emergency to strip a vassal of their army if fighting them in a civil war

fantastic concept! I would like to try to play as a tyrant! Would be awesome if there were more options to play as a dictator.

Perhaps a few circumstances that allow you to declare an emergency in extreme circumstances when not at absolute authority? Stuff like at war with the Mongols or under a GHW (in this case, I'd probably just make it apply to vassals of your religion). Basically just situations where it makes sense the vast majority of vassals would agree to it regardless of your current authority level. Mostly wars for survival.

Okay thanks for the answer, Paradox should learn from Firaxis, Game improvments mods still allows for achievements. I know its silly but besides Ironman I want my achievements.

Unfortunately no, CK3 uses an algorithm to check whether the game has been modified in any way. This disables achievements, regardless if the mod just changes visual aspects of the game (e.g. textures), or in this case, adds a game mechanic. You should still be able to play in Ironman though! Just no achievements, hope that helps! (If Paradox thought this was a good idea then they could add it to the base game and allow achievements but that's wishful thinking lol)

Looks very cool, however I guess its not Ironman and achievements compatible?

Maybe some kind of religious eMeRgEnCiEs? Like...the pope is coming for a visit? Heresy and witchcraft are spreading, better form an inquisition? Christian missionars coming into our beloved little tribe and tell us its not okay to sacrifice people?
Just some minor ideas because the mod sounds great!

Also a Specific "Bubonic Plague/Black Death Panic Button that stops all commerce and trade within your lands, and completely seels the borders, not just between the duchies... no. Every individual Holding within a county is put on lockdown
Lock everyone in their homes

And then just hope the *literal BLACK DEATH* kinda passes by you and your landsm becase we were hiding from the germs like they were a marauding army of hunchbacked, clubbed feet, Spindly Dwarves, from an Norseman Advanturer.

Lol, that's just there the first 2 or 3 i could think of.

I'd like to see a Mongol/Generic Invasion Alert Button, where when you pressed it you literally force every last person from the ages of 12 to 68 to pdon weapons and fight for their homeland from the invaders.

They can take our lives, but they will never take our freedom!
