Description
How about time for sum action with

Animated Moveable Bridges Pack BETA


Realised as depot with invisible connections. Incoming trains trigger the animation to connect rail also visibly.
In reality it might work a bit different, but that is what the game rules allow (that I know of). Who cares.. its fun! ;)
The first models are made out of vanilla pieces, fit well to suspension bridge and are for testing the timing. The second model is inspired by Kattwykbrücke, Hamburg.
Update 1.11 Added lift bridges (one and two track version) by ritknat. ty!
Update 1.12 Added recolored version of Kattwykbrücke by themeatballhero. ty!
Update 1.13 Added bridge types for existing Kattwyk bridge and the recolored version and three new bridges: a swing bridge by ritknat, a single side draw bridge and a 4-track lift bridge Spoorbrug Dordrecht, NL. Model by LMG. TY!

IT COMES WITH
  • Bridges with animations. Functional. Different lenghts and tracks.
  • 4x bascule(/draw) bridges
  • 5x vertical-lift-bridges
  • 1x retractable(/thrust) bridge
  • 2x swing bridges
  • testing "SciFi Holographic"-bridge^^ (in progress)

THIS FEATURES
  • animations and signals with warning lights
  • different types and lengths (several more types will follow *folding bridges..)
  • unlike reality: electrified (optional)
  • speed limits can now be set
  • available from 1900
  • collision off
  • category rail > buildings > "track construction" (and in "depots"..)

PLEASE NOTE
KNOWN ISSUES
  • when trains follow too short < 10s animation might flip... and best is to place it not too close too stations or signals
  • catenary (visible) is not in there yet, but tracks are elctrified
  • "minor" optical disadvantages

There won't be a road version of this (with this technology) because only player vehicles and no ai-cars are detected by depots!

Is there any additional bridges that can be downloaded anywhere? I LOVE this mod and use it in every playthrough but would love more bridges to spice it up :)

The signals on the bridges don't do anything, trains just drive right out in thin air, can this be fixed? Or can the trigger be moved out farther to give the bridge more time to work?

Sehr schöne Mod für ein Update währe toll wenn man bei den einzelnen Modelle auch die Anzahl der Gleise ändern kann.

FYI, this mod no longer seems to work with the latest version of TPF2. My game crashes every time I try to seed one of these bridges. Not sure if it conflicts with one of my track mods, but I have not seen evidence to that effect.

Hi, for the swing bridges could you add an indicator please showing which way the bridge rotates, to help with construction placement? Or even better add an option to control the rotation direction, to prevent hitting nearby structures? Thanks!

Just build my first bridge with this, and indeed it acts as a train depot, the bridge goes down if I buy a train from that "depot", but I can't build a line because it can't go further and the bridge stays in open position all the time...If I want to place it down the bridge is closed, but when it's placed it's open and won't close. So how does that work ?
