Description
This mod aims to add greater diversity to the canine species of Kenshi.
To this end it adds a total of 13 new canine species. 11 of the 13 species are wild animals and can be found roaming in nature. The remaining 2 species are domestic breeds of dog and can only be purchased in shops or found stray in the streets of the towns of The United Cities and The Holy Nation.

All dogs can be kept as pets. They have been added to wandering animal traders in their respective regions. Some dogs have been added to local animal traders in towns that fall inside of their territory. Both of the settled nomad towns sell the dogs that roam near their area. Finally, the Nomads faction will send a "Canine Trader" occassionally to your outpost. The canine trader has a chance to stock all species of dog.

The wild dogs all have respective "Alpha" animals that are included in their packs. The Alpha animal will drop a skin unique to it's race which along with some other materials can be used to research the crafting of a respective head armour which will provide a subtle but unique bonus depending on the species of dog it was crafted from. They can be crafted using the Leather Armour Crafting bench. They also look pretty cool. They can be researched in the "Animal Trophies" section of the tech tree from tech level 0. The skin also has higher monetary value that scales with the strength of the various species.

Credit for the more interesting species goes largely to my wife, who created the lovely retextures that they use.

anyone know why domesticated dogs from this mode seem to have random hp and growth rates. My bone mutt is growing at the same rate as a vanilla bone dog in my squad, but it has around 15-20 less hp across all limbs at the same age. Another thing I noticed is a crested bonedog in my squad growing like 2-3 times faster than all the other animals and also having the hp problem, but even more dir (it has less hp at age .70 than a bone dog at age .40) For context, I picked up the crested bone dog as a stray and bought the bone mutt as well as the vanilla dog form farmers. Would appreciate any type of explanation of this phenomenon and possible ways of fixing/editing it in the FCS perhaps

@Hoser, speaking of which, I was hoping to get your okay on an idea I'd like to include in said patch. One of the main aims of my Symbiosis mod is modelling niche partitioning between similar species to make them more distinct (such as giving Bonedogs a weapon bonus against goats while Boneyard wolves have one against bulls and garru instead) and I thought it would be cool to emphasize that with More Dogs. For example, a couple ideas I had was giving Bog Dogs a bonus to swim speed and a combat boost against Blood Spiders. Another was making Savannah Hounds the fastest of all the dogs seeing as they're based on African painted dogs. But I really don't want to compromise your and Opal's artistic vision in anyway so I wanted to run the idea by you before including such aspects in the patch.

@Arealla, I checked and your problem is a conflict between More Dogs and a mod of mine in the list: 'Symbiosis: An Animal Overhaul' which is lower in the Kaizo/Vanilla+ load order. Feel free to disable mine for now, I'm currently working on a compatibility patch between the two.

Finally installed this mod (along with the huge Kaizo/Vanilla+ list) but there seems to be a conflict with spawning. For example, the Mountain Dogs don't spawn Alphas (or weirdly, it spawns the Boneyard Dog Alphas instead), and Striped Hounds don't seem to spawn at all? Is there a way I could check in FCS to see if they are actually spawning, or are there any known conflicts with mods in the Kaizo list?

This SUBMOD gives More Dogs by Hoser "bones" as death items.

Bones can sold by hunters for profit. Or they can be used in IWK+ to craft plated sandals, a bull skull helmet, bone claws, weapons, and more!

the new biodiversity is nice but had to uninstall because every pack of bonedogs always had one invisible bonedog which couldnt be killed and kept fighting my squad.

Can I get a stat list? Ive noticed that White wolf is stronger than Dune and bog for example but I wonder who is the Number 1

I'm having an issue with invisible dogs spawning. It was a fresh save encountering white wolves I believe in the grey desert, no model or texture loading but they exist and my squad was fighting them
