The GWR 2800 class was designed for heavy freight use and was the first 2-8-0 wheel arrangement design in the UK. 84 were built. It proved to be a very sucessfully design, capable of hauling far more than its original specification. When the first locomotive was withdrawn in 1958, after 55 years service, it had travelled 1,319,831 miles. 6 have been preserved.

The GWR 2884 class was a refinement of the 2800 class and used for heavy freight trains. 83 were built. The main differences were a more enclosed cab with side windows and the addition of outside steam pipes from the smokebox. 9 were preserved.

The GWR 2884 class in British Railways livery. The 2884 was popular with crews and the BR Western Region management requested more be built, but the more powerful BR Standard Class 9Fs were provided instead. Many remained in service until the end of steam in 1965.

Includes placeable Asset versions. Custom sound effects. Supports user colours (except BR versions), but no aging or user logo. A permanently dirty variant of the BR version is included (and also as a placeable asset).

@2999 Lady Of Legend - Thanks. I prefer to stick with just the number of the class and I don't have plans for more versions I'm afraid.

Lovely to see JK, is there a possibility for 2807 or 3850, from the Gloucester & Warwickshire Railway in BR black, as there is not enough number variety - 2857, 3802 would be nice as well as they are currently in running condition. Beautifully modelled.

so why do others default forward because it frustrating if recording for YouTube having to reset the camera if you know what I mean, forward makes sense as a default. thanks

@gordon.pilcher1 - When you're in that view, if you press the PG UP (Page Up) key it cycles through the multiple camera positions. Most of them face forward. (Though none are the game's default position.)

the camera always looks back at the loco rather facing forward thanks

@gordon.pilcher1 - I can't see an issue with the cockpit cameras? What's the issue you're having? It could be caused by another mod over-riding this mod's camera positions.

Is it possible to fix the in cab camera?
Dan Dec 20, 2020 @ 5:27am
@JK Yeah, been using it for ages. It was only when I loaded up the game yesterday that the issue appeared.

@dsmx - Are you using the testing version of the game? I've heard of it having bugs with flipped meshes (e.g. being inside-out).
Dan Dec 19, 2020 @ 3:48pm
I've got a bug where the cylinder on the right side of the engine has no cover on it.
