Friction Tool

This tool is mainly for vehicles, but can be used on any prop. Tired of your gmod cars sliding around, because they don't have enough friction due to make-spherical wheels? This tool increases the apparent friction of any prop, meaning you can stick to the road much easier.


There are two methods of adding friction:

- Contact Point: For use with wheels and vehicles. 5-10 for weak friction, 50 for medium and 75+ for strong friction.


- Center Mass: For standard flat props, like plates. 10-20 for weak friction, 60 for medium and 85+ for strong friction.


If you add too much friction, your props may behave strangely. If they do, try reducing the amount of friction.


To change the maximum allowed friction, use the ConVar "friction_limit". It defaults to 999 but can be set lower/higher.


Left click: Apply Friction Multiplier
Reload: Remove Friction Multiplier


This tool has E2 Support. To apply, use the function entity:mulFriction( amount, type)

entity:mulFriction(100, 0) -- 100 Friction, Center Force
entity:mulFriction(75, 1) -- 75 Friction, Contact Point Force


To remove, use the function entity:removeFriction().
