Descriere
In this village it's farming and timber that are the main drivers of industry. Life is simple and hard. We keep a candle burning in the little wooden shrine. A palisade keeps the livestock in and the neighboring tribes out...for now.

*** *** *** *** ***

The earliest settlements of Europe outside of the Mediterranean sphere were arrangements of longhouses made of earth, timber and thatch. Gradually these advanced to half timber and plaster buildings with wooden shingle or shake roofs.

Perfect for use with my District Style: Medieval Town.

**Currently the residential buildings assigned to this District Style do not spawn in -- specifically the Saxon longhouses and earthfast houses.

The industrial agriculture and timber buildings do spawn, but for now you will need to manually control the residential assets (without applying the district style bulldoze whatever grows until what you want grows and make what you want historical. The longhouses prefer 3x2 or 4x2 long or they will grow in 2x2 but so do a few other assets, which can make it tedious, so the long thin zoning works best to force them to spawn) or use a mod like Building Themes.

I added Arjan's medieval house to this style so that some homes would spawn-in**

That sounds like you might be missing the model? I don't know. These assets are very small. The longhouses are 4x1 and 4x2, mostly, but will spawn in other small zoning placed along roads.

The other small houses and structures are 1x1 or 1x2, maybe 1x3 in some cases. Try zoning extremely small, isolated strips and see if those grow. Then, fill-in the spaces between with other zoning once the first assets grow. If you just paint a whole area then the game will want to only spawn 4x4 assets and will not spawn the tiny buildings. You have to force those to spawn by painting only the small areas as described above.

When I try to use this these buildings, only the grey pavement appears for many buildings and not the structure itself. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Thanks for posting a clean link — steam is dumb and included my “?” As part of the link

They both work. Have you subscribed to the Collection (https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/?id=2272289504)? Also, did you see the note about the residential assets for Village not working as desired because of Cities' preference for 2x2, 3x4 and 4x4 assets in District Styles?

Thank you so much

thanks, I wish it worked as fully intended, but if you get the collection it shouldn't be too hard to manually control which assets spawn-in, or use a mod like Building Themes.
