Description
Changes the animals to those found in the UK. Can be added to existing saved games, but best when generating new games (improved results).

- Small Deer (instead of bear) - Smaller and different shade from normal deer. Behaviour tweaks vs normal deer.
- Large Deer - Looks the same as normal deer. Behaviour tweaks vs normal deer.
- Red Fox - Much smaller and slightly darker. Behaviour tweaks.
- Buzzard (instead of eagle) - Texture changed; lighter and brown tail. Slightly larger. Behaviour tweaks. Camera repositioned.
- Rooks (instead of cranes) - Large flock and random distribution and varying flight. New behaviour.
- Gulls (instead of single gull) - Large flock and random distribution and varying flight. Behaviour tweaks.
- Salmon - Much smaller and darker. Less occurrences and smaller groups. Behaviour tweaks.

!!! New Games vs Saved Games !!!

When generating a new game with the mod enable, the animal behaviour and quantities are as above. If the mod is later removed, the animals are replaced by the default models, but their number and behaviour remains the same (at least initially, this may change over time).

When adding this mod to an existing saved game, the appearance of the animals are change, but the behaviour and quantities remains the same (at least initially, this may change over time). E.g. Rooks fly in the V-formation of the cranes they replaced. If removed from the game (that wasn't generated with it), it should fully revert to default.

All credit for models and textures to Urban Games, I have only adapted what already existed in the game. (So don't request new animal types from me.)

@Ghostboy5 - Thanks for the info and looking into this.

@µBunny I've done some more testing, and sadly if it's the mod named "Animal Assets" then changing the load order won't resolve the issue as that mod has cloned/custom model files for bear, deer, fox, and gull, and crucially, because they're renamed files, then the game engine just sees them as "extra".

There's nothing really @JK can do with his mod to accommodate this, so I've posted a message on Softman's mod page to kindly ask if he can create a 2nd (trimmed) version of his mod that excludes these conflicting animals, because otherwise we can only really use one mod or the other to be bear-free and not have two different types of fox scurrying around!

Yeah it may just be my mod load order, I'll try to move it.

@µBunny I have noticed that Softman's Animal Assets includes model (mdl) files for bear, fox, deer, and gull (along with the usual farmyard animals), so this is a very likely source of conflict depending on your load order as @JK suggests. I need to test more to be sure, but my map had British Wildlife installed on spawn and only started getting bears and the larger foxes when I added decoration mods like that one.

@µBunny - I've looked into this now, it seemed fine in an existing save and in a new game. The game's own files don't appear to have changed with the latest updated. Are you using any other animal related mods? If so maybe try changing the load order, so this mod is last.

I still see bears roaming around with the mod active.

I started a new map recently and made sure to have this mod enabled at creation, and I'm so pleased I did as I'm really enjoying the variation. The "flock of rooks", the way they scatter... they're my favourite so far. Above all it's nice to not to constantly run into grizzly bears! Thank you so much JK.
